We came here on Monday morning and were lucky enough to still get a parking space for an hour or so. The tide was well out so the place did look a little sad but the general atmosphere, the views and the backdrop of the surrounding wooded hills do make for this to be somewhat special place. Very relaxing place to take the family, grab coffee and cake, or just watch the world go by. Decent parking and easily accessible. So tranquil and picturesque. Absolutely love this place. Bordered by Porlock Weir, the Salt Marsh and Bossington Hill, it's just perfect. A word of caution beware of the car park the auto-pay on the app does not work if you rely on this you will get fined .Big stones no sand and like carlsberg probably the world's most expensive carpark which camper vans seem to struggle to get in and out of so use the exit as an entrance and the entrance as an exit the town has a couple of overpriced pubs and that's about it I would avoid it if you can if your planning on doing a coastal path walk park in Porlock much cheaper and has a few shops Porlock weird is one of our favourite places to go locally. Stunning views across the bay to North hill and across to Wales. A good choice of places to eat and drink. And the harbour is very attractive especially when the tide is in. Most frustrating and disappointing aspect of any visit is the cost of the parking. Chargeable 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Exploiting locals and holidaymakers who come to visit. Shh. Don't tell anyone about this little cobbley beach surrounded by hills, great views of Wales on a clear day, nice car park, nice toilets, wonderful ice cream shop, plenty of places to eat and drink, several interesting craft shops, and a couple of nice walks too. Far better without loads of people there so that the silence of waves and seagulls is undisturbed. Lovely place with great views Really lovely little place. The beach is all pebbly and has a few pubs around the harbour with some outdoor seating which is lovely on a nice day. There is a car park which is £1.00 per hour with toilets Lovely little beach, lots to do and lots to see! Nice little old fishing village not a great deal here a pub and hotel. But nice views had a meal in anchor pub we had the seafood platter for two not really worth the price very small offerings Such a beautiful unchanged harbour. Great little place for a walk or to watch the waves. Small independent business and a couple of pub cafes for a quick bite or sit down meal Gorgeous place. Lots of interesting things to see. Not too busy. There was a small cafe, pub and some arty craft studios. The place is unspoilt and natural. I love it.
