Amazing clubhouse and cafe, fantastic range of traps, stunning location. Mike our trainer was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended It was very busy when we arrived, they were hosting a corporate day. Lunch wasn't being served until 12.30pm but were still serving the breakfast menu, plenty to choose from, I had the light breakfast and it was delicious. The were and professional, if I was to nit pick, had to help yourself from a machine for tea and coffee, I'd prefer a pot of tea. Definitely visit again to sample lunch menu, also really clean for amount of people there. Great grounds enjoyed my This was my first time here and I was really impressed. From the start there's ample parking, suitable for everyone. The clubhouse is warm and welcoming and the I spoke to were really friendly. I arrived early and had to wait, but there's a café that does hot food and drinks. I was shown where to go to shoot and spent an hour there, happily in my own little world. I had a quick look around the shop before leaving, they have a good range of clothing and equipment that was very reasonably priced. There's also a well stocked gun room but I didn't go in there this time. I look forward to going back. Great targets. Good staff. Sort this out ffs 🙄 First time visiting this and what a fantastic place, the could not be more or helpful and the itself is tremendous. If you haven't been before definitely pay them a visit you will not be disappointed. Updated 23/09/25. Well disappointed today, the itself was great, getting treated like crap of the was a different matter, on 2 separate occasions between myself and my dad. First when I was paying for the clays that we had shot today the member of was to busy to even look at me when I was paying she was to busy looking at another member of staffs phone behind the counter, he looked like he had escaped from the Kitchen, I wasn't expecting anyone to be falling at me feet but please and thank you go a long way. Secondly when my dad went into the gun room to have a look at a possible new gun yet again couldn't even speak to him yet again to busy chatting to someone. All I can say is that you lost a sale today. So to be honest I don't think we will be rushing back, if that's how are now treating customers. Really disappointing. Booked a with Mike Wilson for my stepdaughter and he was excellent. A thoroughly thought out session for a 12 year old and really attentive to basics, to handling and then to the of the clays. Would highly recommend and will definitely be following up with another few lessons. Great day out. Really nice, well organized facility. We had a group of 4, and our experience ranged from very little to never held a gun before, but our instructor Mike was absolutely amazing and got the best out of everyone. We all managed to hit a few clay birds and really enjoyed the day. I'd recommend this to anybody, of any ability. Thanks to Mike, who's patient tuition, encouragement and fantastic personality really made the experience what it was. What an amazing setup! Had our first shoot over at Thimbleby and couldn’t have went better. The venue & are as great as each other. A big thanks to our instructor Russ who was professional with his approach to teaching us, and had us pretty well at a beginner level! We will be returning for sure. Had a fantastic morning with my nephew at Thimbleby trying the "have a go" taster session. Both of us hadn't touched a gun in our lives, so we didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, Russ, an extremely knowledgeable instructor, was on hand to show us the ropes. His enthusiasm and kindness really made a mark on my nephew, who ended up being quite a good shot! One of the best Went again last Sunday had a brilliant breakfast with my daughter had an hour couldn't help myself buying a gun what a good place and the are brilliant Amazing ground, easily one of my favourites. Friendly, knowledgable, and experienced with answers to all your questions in a beautiful setting. I can't wait to go again. Turned up at Thimbleby today a little apprehensive for my first ever lesson. The place is stunning, very well organised and all of the so and extremely helpful. I had my with Mike what an absolute gent, and an expert in his craft. I left at the end of my completing what I thought I would never be able to do, a naughty little 1-2, not once but several times. Thanks for a brilliant day 👌 Lovely place. Shame they won't take cash in the cafe. £2.70 for a mug of tea that you have to make yourself is a bit steep. Had a brilliant today with Russ!! Fantastic ground, are polite and always around to offer help and support, The clubhouse is Great for a nice Tea/Coffee and Food, great for a relaxing a relaxing morning after a shoot or a dog walk.. Dog friendly, Wheelchair accessible, toilets in the Clubhouse. We came here for our first ever time (me and my son for his birthday ). We booked a 90min with Russ, we were more than happy with our experience. Russ was an amazing instructor with a wealth of knowledge and patience and made the visit all the more enjoyable, so much so I will be going back for further lessons and as a hobby.
