Our wonderful Ger led us through the massive caves and educated us on the process, reasoning, and scale of constructing the caves, as well as the deep history within. He was very knowledgeable about the happenings within the caves and very funny as well! We also stopped within a mushroom growing area and he told us of the process. You can buy mushrooms (Champignon) there as well. During the there is also a tasting with a custom made for the cave (Mosasaurus) which was delicious and light. You can also buy additional during the tour. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area or just nearby! Very nice place only ~8km from Maastricht. Be prepared for the in Dutch.
