When you visit, their will tell you about the importance of butterflies, their lifecycle from egg, catterpillar, pupa, and the actual butterfly, and the types of that can be found in Bohol Island. Small place as other people mentionned it on other comments below, but if you take the time to look carefully at the you can easily spend 30 min- 1hour on the same "room". There are butteflies of different colors and shapes. Perfect small for children and adults. We did not take a guide, but rather enjoyed the view of the on our own. I believe this was better for us, we could therefore take our time on the tour. There is also a restaurant next to the place. Restauration is very cheap! Its a nice place, very educative especially to the children and they were enjoying the caterpillar of a butterfly... They have a trick in taking pictures in the butterfly enclosures and you have to try it... The was very accomodating... Thought our trip to the butterfly farm would be boring that we almost cancelled it. Grateful we are, their farm guide, Kuya Michael, made this side trip sooooo muuuuuch fuuuun! We had a non-stop giggling walk through their farm as he crack jokes consequent to his butterfly trivia discussion. 😄 We also enjoyed his camera tricks like a pro. Highly recommendable! Our brought us to the Python and Wildlife Park and the Butterfly Garden. We get to see some taxidermized pythons and other animals. I had to see a variety of butterflies. We were so amazed by the butterfly's pattern and color. The snakes were huge and I'm afraid to touch them even though they are very friendly and there's a handler that will assist you should you wish to carry them for photo ops. We came in a wrong time were less and were hiding but we had a great time with our helpful who gave us a brief knowledge about butterflies. She was kind enough to take our pictures and we had fun. You'll be amazed by the beauty of nature and how they grow the butterflies... Their is very much accomodating and funny which makes our relaxing... love the photo ops... It is worth a temporary stop if you have the time. Guided tours and pleasant walk through a beautiful garden. We enjoyed the Photo opportunities. Not very many in late July though. Our was excellent.
