Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. In category of Small, local Museums it is very entertaining! Lot's of interesting exhibits and artifacts highlighting heritage of Cynon Valley and Aberdare. Truly fascinating but.... Quite overdue refurb is definitely needed. Upstairs good space with some gallery exhibitions, and good books section in souvenir shop worth mention. Very good little museum which I visited on a weekday and it was very informative with many photos and exhibits. I also liked the gifts that were on sale in the shop by the entrance and bought a few items. Highly recommended. Thanks to the friendly volunteers which gave us a friendly welcome. The exhibits are beautifully displayed. Also thanks to exhibition designer Walter for giving us more background on the photos of the coal miners and the story of the coal strike, it's well worth the visit. What a little gem! Please go and visit this fabulous little Museum. It had some kids activities when we visited, but the exhibition spaces are also great. The main gallery was well laid out, telling the history of the surrounding valleys. So much information and artifacts. There was a wonderful trail that my daughter completed which is offered at reception, and it is all free!! In the upper gallery there was a wonderful art exhibition. There was another art exhibition in another downstairs gallery. So much packed into a comparatively small space. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We will be visiting again when we are in the area. So pleased we visited! Excellent and friendly museum, we visited hoping to catch the local vibe while researching my family tree in the local area. All staff were amazingly helpful, so knowledgeable and you can tell that love and attention go into this quaint and interesting, beautifully detailed piece of history. Well worth a visit if you are travelling in the area, and it is free, with lots of nearby parking! 👌 Helpful and courteous staff. Clean and tidy surroundings. Well-presented exhibition by the Welsh Photographic Federation. I love taking my nephew to the First Steps playgroup every Wednesday, except for school holidays. We had a lovely halloween party today. It was a nice experience to visit this museum. Art Gallery was an added attraction. Staff members were welcoming and friendly. It's not a large scale museum but despite the size of the museum it's worth visiting and experiencing and witnessing the unique collection. If amazing staff members will be around: Kids may also have the opportunity to find the hidden dragon and may earn surprise gifts. It's a place and my score is 100. Wonderful visit today, knowledgeable, welcoming staff and volunteers. A warm space, greatly appreciated by everyone there. A shop there too.
