Absolutely fab park! The shop has a fantastic menu and the chips are proper good - ice cream well worth checking out too! Pedalos are £7 for about 30mins which was so much fun - view is well cool too! Then there's a whole range of birds to feed - everything from pigeons to ducks & ducklings to Canada Geese and Elder Ducks and I still haven't mentioned the (swings slides etc), the splash pad and the squirrels and more! Get yourself up there! Oh & they have public toilets! It's an absolute gem of an event! Aberdare Races never disappoints. Cheap pints and tasty food on-site, loads of great vantage points to catch the action, and a proper family-friendly atmosphere. Brilliant for kids with plenty of open space and excitement all day. Highly recommend a visit! ⭐ A beautiful tree lined Park, rose garden, boating pond, kids wet play area and seasonal planting. A calm oasis. And a Parkrun every Saturday. Beautiful country kept spotlessly clean by Matthew and his team. Lots of walks for everyone including wheelchair friendly ones. Short walks to the or longer hikes for the more adventurous. Nice cafe serving food and drink from 10 til 4. Lots of parking available. Lovely campsite for caravans and motorhomes with 36 hardstanding pitches. Spotless toilets and showers. Beautiful park, looked after well, peaceful to walk around even in the rain. Take a stroll around the lake, around the track or off behind the trees to explore some wildlife. Beautiful place. Had a wonderful time with the local photography group ( based at Aberdare rugby club, every other Thursday 11 - 3 pm) lots of wild life such as squirrels and variety of birds. They is a boating and lots of aquatic birds, Such a surprise near to Aberdare town. A hidden gem suitable for all ages. A cafe where you can grab a coffee. Lots of geese and other wildlife . rose garden and lots of different flora and fauna. Highly recommend this gorgeous Great we love taking the dog over before they lock up ! Lots of squirrels about today playing and eating 😍 This was a visit for me as this was my grandad's hometown. Some of his ashes were left here. The is huge and such a beautiful place. I don't think I've ever seen so many geese and swans in one place... dogs have to be on lead at all times. We loved it 1st time visit, plenty of parking, and park. The splash area is awesom, my only complaint would be cafe is quite expensive 3 single ice creams,a Coke and an iced Latte £22. However make a picnic and bring drinks and great day out.
