We lunched at this establishment for the first time today and had a lovely meal. Very friendly and welcoming with great service at a very reasonable price. We'll definitely go again. Stopped by for some dinner while staying at a nearby campsite. Food was hot and tasty. Drinks were cool and enjoyed. Staff was very hospitable and kind. Lovely little pub with great selection of drinks and fantastic food. So good we came back the next day to sample more of the menu. Really good value for food and also superb quality too. Service is also top tier and staff super friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone. What a fantastic pub. Went here twice during our stay. First meal of steak was excellent but we were blown away by the Sunday lunch. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, we will be back again soon! We had Sunday lunch at this village pub and our experience was brilliant from start to finish. Our shoulder of pork roast lunch was nicely presented, plentiful, and came with a great selection of potatoes ( roasted and mashed) , four different veggies plus Yorkshire pudding. The sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream we shared afterwards was outstanding, and all in all well priced, when compared to prices in our home county of Kent. There was also a good selection of ales to choose from, and nice seating areas throughout the pub and separate adjacent restaurant. On an end note, the staff made us feel very welcome and we know we shall return again one day soon. Went for dinner as we were staying in Broughton in furness and came back the next day too as meals were so good, very friendly barmaid and waitress. Menu isn't the most extensive, but the food was great. We had the specials both nights, feather blade and duck both were cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. Called in on the off chance for some food and it didn’t disappoint! I had scampi and chips - Mr had king burger with fries (excuse the rubbish pics) - was delicious and followed by two sticky toffee puddings - could have liked the plate clean! Very reasonable prices. Very welcoming staff, fast and friendly service - will defo call again if we are passing We enjoyed our delicious lunch today: my husband had the duck leg confit dish and liked the beer he chose, while I had a vegan-burger and a generous portion of crispy skinny fries. Restaurant is very expensive. Took the family for a meal out as we were on holiday staying in Broughton-In-Furness. Family of 5 (incl. 2 children) excluding drinks was almost £200. Food was plentiful but nothing special. Limited vegetarian and childrens choices as well. Taking two stars off for the prices, choices and quality. When we stay this year (2025) we will not be eating there again. I should add that we ate there in 2023 and the bill was far lower - I didn’t see any Michelin star and the menu was better. . We were recommended the pub by family, and thought we would give it a go. We booked a table via email, and were responded to. My husband daughter and I were welcomed by the lovely staff and shown to our seats. Our food and drinks came promptly. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I had roast pork, wow!! My daughter had the vegetarian roast and really enjoyed it. The puddings were delicious. Would highly recommend. A really good experience.
