Beautiful place. 😍 Need to go walking but definitely is worth it. It's absolutely worth walking a mile up the stoney track to this circle. The setting is beautiful, and the is impressive. We parked in a small layby just before the farm track. You walk through sheep fields so be aware if you have an excitable dog! It's a surprisingly large and complete located near a farm. There are some lovely trails nearby as well that take you through sheep fields. Be sure to wear water proof shoes/boots if you want to hike in the area. It's not super accessible by public transport, unfortunately. I had a bit of an uncomfortable walk along a busy road to access the trails to get to and from there. Parked on a layby shortly before the bridleway started, no problems at all about 10am. Use google street view and you can see it clearly. Walked up the stoney track to the Circle. There is an information board describing the circle, its history and other facts. The views are very nice, if you are interested in historic/neolithic monuments then go, if not then don't, as there is little else to do except appreciate the and views of the landscape for what it is. Great walk for the kids or those not wanting to do too much. About a mile from where we parked. We parked in the layby just down from the actual track up to the stones as you can't drive up to it (it's private land). At the fork in the road take the left path and just keep walking for 1 mile, you will see the on your right hand side. You can't really get lost and it's worth the uphill climb for the stunning views Wonderful large in a green pasture with sheep. Takes about 1,4 km walk and parking space is hardly available It was the best to go on a sunny, beautiful day, rocks in a kind of suggest some mysterious events? But the road to the place is full of rocks, if you decide to drive a car to there, the road is really narrow, only for 1 car to go at 1 time, almost no space for car to go if there is another car coming forward to you. It is also not to suggest car to pass through there as rocks can hit the space under the car which can cause damage to the car, my car got oil leakage and tires breaking, the signal there is also very low which if you car break no one can help you and even if you call for a truck to take the car, it is almost impossible for the truck to drive out without damaging. But it is still a really good view. Great circle. Close to the road.
