There is a 'Boathouse' cafe at the car park which serves refreshments but the main thing is the beautiful view of the and the distant Brecon Beacons aka Pen Y Fan. Great for families and the parking is more than ample. A very popular destination. Overnight parking for motorhomes available at the promenade car park and there are nearby toilets. Absolutely beautiful views, great for camper van over night, canoe 🛶 and picnic, great arcade and cafe, pedlo to go on river, fab place, for family time or couples, or anyone great walking areas to, love it there Lovely along the with the dog, there are big and little fish, we even saw a duck with her duckling. There was a place to go down and let the dog swim safely. Plenty of seats, bins and shade. Lovely promenade with great size car park,motorhomes welcome to stay overnight 6pm till 8am for free but only for 1 day in a 7 day period,fantastic views and walks along the Usk and into town and cathedral all in walking distance My favourite place growing up in Brecon.
