Didn't use the sports centre, but it had a good cafe. Was here for the start of a stage of The Tour of Wales Very good and clean leisure facilities. Nice and helpful staff. Well equipped gym that is not always busy. Good size pool. Plenty of parking. Convenient cafeteria with limited food options. Update 9/4/2022. Gone downhill rapidly. Poor attitude from staff. Cannot be bothered. Opened up hockey pitch with tennis net across the pitch. Football goals on the pitch. Hockey goals in the wrong place, and inoperative with tears all over. Little regard for Health & safety. Spoke with the duty manager (eventually), but little positive response. Needs a big injection of enthusiasm and desire to help customers. Typical standard council operated leisure centre. The pool is great for small children and even has a decent slide. Not the best for older kids. The changing rooms are decent and clean but lockers are in need of an upgrade. Parking is a huge issue here and the reason for the three star rating as there has been several incidents of cars being damaged and no CCTV to catch the offending driver. Despite struggling for new investment the staff here do the very best they can to make whatever activity you have planned or have booked for enjoyable whole site is looking a little tired especially the swimming pool and changing rooms and downstairs areas but highly recommended with a free small soft play area for tiny children in the cafeteria Staff are lovely. Good facilities. Could do with upgrades on gym with more range and better swim changing rooms. But it's staff are the real gems. Got absolutely everything. My kids love the soft play pen. Every Monday before kick boxing and every Friday after swimming you can find us chilling in the cafe. Lovely family friendly place. Take my little one swimming almost every Saturday. Staff are always friendly and sweet to him. However disappointed that the Cafe is always closed before 1pm even though the sign says 1:30. Children are very hungry after swimming so having only a vending machine filled with junk food to give them isn't what you expect from a place of fitness. Leisure centre is great for the town pool excellent staff are brilliant! (However) The company need to spend on upgrading facilities everything looks a bit weathered and worn! Monthly membership goes up every year however the facilities are not renewed! Gym have more do not use signs than actually working! Invest in the best and these signs will disappear! But commercial not home use as they will not last with the constant flow of users!
