Two of the members were quite nice but otherwise the place is a shambles and deeply unethical. Blood covered soft play area ( see pictures ), poor quality food, animals in terrible conditions ( considering calling RSPCA ) And the camping area is not flat like they say! In fact I would say this isn’t a place suitable for camping at all! If you have a motor home it’s probably fine. Disgusting and a health hazard. adventure with so many activities to fill a day if not two! We didn’t get to see all of it but loved every minute! The sledge was a highlight for sure! My daughter and I have just returned home from a Cantref Riding holiday. We had the most stay in one of their pods that was self-contained in its own private space with its own wood fired hot tub and bbq. The views from there, and actually everywhere on the farm, are stunning. The beds were so comfortable and spacious, and we had everything we needed. The riding was incredible. We were allowed to groom and tack our ponies in the morning before heading out with our group. Our guide took us up into the valleys and hills, allowing the group to go at a faster pace when the terrain allowed and if we were comfortable with it. The go up and down some really rough terrain in places with ease. We stopped for lunch midway through the day where we were provided with a delicious packed lunch freshly made, and the had with their bridles off. All in all, the most incredible hands-on riding we could have wished for, all made that much better because of the fabulous who work in every part of the park. We loved it from the moment we arrived, to the we left. Had a fantastic 2 hour on Dexter while my friend rode Dumbledore. Both were super and so gentle natured. The was very scenic and quite varied and we had the opportunity to do a bit of cantering. The set up at Cantref is very professional. The were well cared for and our guide whose name escapes me was very friendly and communicative throughout the ride. There are so few true trekking centres left in Wales and a reflection on how well things are done here that they are still around. Went for a Full Day in the mountains. We had a fantastic time. We wanted something special to show our Australian friend her first visit in Wales and what a way to do it! We had a time. Our instructor was fantastic and the were gorgeous. We were on the 3 brothers and loved them and the day. Highly recommend, will definitely come back. Thank you so much. (We made use of the hats and boots provided too!) Wow! We’ve just come home from the Xmas Festival and it was superb! They’ve really gone above & beyond to make it super festive for the children! Really impressed how value for money it was! The food in the restaurant was also really high quality! We’ll be back again next year 👌🎄 We went for a whole day of pony trekking. We both loved it! One of the best ways to the Welsh mountains :) Booked Cantref Adventure for the ridding for 2 hours. Had a on my first riding. The riders were lovely and informative with instructions. Upon arrival we first got fitted for boots and helmets as safety is key. We got shown how to get comfortable with a horse, how to get on and off the how to lead turn and stop. We had a challenging despite being a beginner with no I was a bit cautious on the route we took up the mountain as there were some steep parts and also quite rocky terrain as well as coming down. I would recommend the one hour lesson intially if you are fearful of heights and animals. The views were and I had a lovely called Jim. Although some of the others struggled with poor temperament from the which may have dimmed their experience. Driving to the was pleasant and full of wonderful views spots for picnics around the area. Would come again for another lesson in the future. The most friendly that go above and beyond and super delicious food. Love coming here. It's kept nice and clean and they are very big on washing your hands! Hygiene. Fantastic pumpkin/Halloween visit. So much fun for the kids esp the pumpkin carving. It was a truly wonderful experience! The was lovely and friendly, and they accommodated everyone's abilities, from beginners to experienced riders. This was my second visit, and what truly impressed me was how they handled my daughter during the 20-minute introduction session. It was absolutely fantastic, and she hasn't stopped talking about it! I am incredibly satisfied and feel very safe with the riding lessons, from the 2 1/2 hour sessions to the 1-hour sessions and the 20-minute sessions. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and would certainly return again; perhaps I should even consider becoming a member! We did a half day at Cantref yesterday. It was amazing!! The were clearly well cared for and enjoyed their job. They really looked after us over some quite tricky terrain. The route was and was enjoyed by all of our family who ranged from beginner to intermediate riders. We loved it and will definitely be back to do it again. We camped here for 2 nights with our children and had such an time. The campsite is beautiful with breathtaking views. The are so friendly, particular shootout to Cliff the warden who saved our tent pitching. So much to see and do in the farm. value. We will certainly be back We’ve just got back from a stay in one of the camping pods with our small children. It was a superb trip, all the fun of camping without the need to set up and take down a tent in the rain! Woodfired hot tub was great. The park itself is for the kids, we had the place pretty much to ourselves and the were fantastic. Sarah and Jason ran activities just for us, my kids got to feed the lambs, see the pig race and meet the animals they had the absolute best time. Just a massive thanks for everything. We just spent a family 24hrs away at Cantref. One night in one of the holiday cottages with hot tub was a hit for our teenagers and there was just so much to do around the park and even managed to fit in a pony trek! Beautiful surroundings and lovely to just get away from it all with the kids. A lovely family day out at cantref today, Grandchildren enjoyed it, children enjoyed it And us the grandparents enjoyed, Something for everyone, three generations of us pony trekking and we all had a time, food was good, And all were brilliant, will definitely be back, A big five star from us Wow!!! What an we had from start to finish , we were quite nervous at the start especially myself as I hadn’t been on a for awhile due to having a double hip replacement, this didn’t phase our instructor who was she talked us through every step of the trek and was so patient and kind to myself and my daughter! The views when going over the mountain were incredible and my daughter had opportunities for photos! Thank you so much to all at Cantref! Highly recommend!
