Great kid's with multiple fountains & splash buckets. Life guards and are super friendly and helpful, is nice and warm and clean! Very affordable prices too. Been going to Aqua classes now for 12 months or so , feel so much better now , Sheree, Jordan and Cindy are Terrific , and special mention to the ladies who go to the classes they are very welcoming , and we have lol . A beautiful well thought out building. Very disability and family friendly. Of the facilities: the facilities are modern and spacious, a coliseum, you can play basketball and soccer, gyn, sauna, the spa is having problems, birds work and others do not, 25-meter pool, another hot water and a for children with small and fun games. my children train swimming, the teachers are very dedicated and professional, I recommend them! the staff, lifeguard, reception or the cafeteria are super friendly. they also have zumba classes which are so much fun you have to try going! Excellent facilities and pools to choose from kids, small 1.4m deep warm water for hydro and small children and disable people, which has a ramp, for very easy access, is well planned for, and a large with lanes .It has a nice spa bath, sauna room, many lifesavers on duty throughout the pool, change rooms and showers, plenty of baby room toilets and next door a fully active and excellent gym. Great place for swimming, working out and just relaxing or having fun. The canteen has a good selection for any hungry little ones. One point of improvement is the occasional poor services that some of the can give. Overall a pretty great place I had a full membership for 4 months went 4-6 days a week for gym and swimming the spa was always closed for repair during this time the sauna was always dirty with obvious stains all over the floor, the members made it verry clear that they didn’t want to associate with me wouldn’t Evan tell me there names whenever I asked about my membership I was just told to read the pang let which didn’t have the information or answers to the questions I was trying to ask the gym attendant never gave me the time of day list goes on I don’t recommend this gym unless you grew up here and know everyone u will be treated like a outsider I've been working out at the barc gym on and off since 2019 there are my overall thoughts. People: Don't bother coming in after 3 pm annoying scrawny teenagers flood in and hog up the equipment while also using it incorrectly. If you dislike uncomfortable eye contact from old people who also use the equipment incorrectly this gym is definitely not for you. Staff are very hands off which is fine for me personally but they really need to let people know when they're failing at basic gym etiquette. A big example is people not using the squat rack for squats huge pet peeve for me. Also a few of the older regulars smell terrible and the do nothing about it Some people are exercise with God awful form to the point I'm worried they might get hurt but I don't wanna be rude and confront them about it. I wish the were a bit more proactive in making sure everyone is working out safely Equipment: standard gym machines and weights no complaints. Though they are very slow to fix the hamstring machine its been out of commission for months but they're fast to fix the treadmills so they have priorities. Odd considering you can run at any time but resistance training your hamstring isn't exactly something you can do at any time. And no body weight exercises don't count because they don't stimulate growth a well. Interior: The roof constantly leaks. They recently replaced the floor which in theory is a good idea but the material they use was 100% a moronic choice. The floor is so slippery it's borderline impossible to do cable crunches on the ground without being pulled forward and your shoes have poor grip to the ground ruining overall stability for any exercise. It needs to have texture so you got grip. Pricing: less than $40 per fortnight but still too high in my opinion maybe if they fixed everything you'd get your money's worth. Rules are unclear at times for example "powerlifting" is banned but don't define what they mean. I assume that rule is rarely broken because ive never been stopped or seen anyone else stopped for lifting too heavy. Overall this gym is fine for a casual workout about if you're easily annoyed like me maybe not. I'll still be going for now but I'm definitely eyeing up the competition.
