Caffi Gwynant

Blaenau Ffestiniog, United Kingdom Cafe

One of the Best Places To Visits in Gwynedd Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Nice cafe serving hot drinks, cakes and a selection of hot food. There is indoor and outdoor seating and free WiFi. It looks like indoors is a converted chapel. It’s a great place to stop after a hike up to Snowdon and not too far from the car park up the road. Literally one of the best cafes you can go to. Family run by such a friendly and welcoming people. The setting is unique being in an old church with some features still remaining. Food is amazing. Coffee is delicious. You have got to visit here if you’re in the neighbourhood. Location is perfect as it is close to Watson’s path and some truly beautiful waterfalls as well. Fantastic cafe with a brilliant owner - with lots of stories if you've got time to listen. Sat there most of the day waiting to supervise DofE groups with fantastic service and facilities. Definitely recommend a stop and a visit. They have the best desserts and sausage sandwiches I've tasted in the area. Not only a really tasty (and HUGE) full Welsh breakfast, but the kindest staff who really go the extra mile, super welcoming and friendly service, with extra little details that make this place really special ❤️ great value and cosy place to chill, especially when its pouring down outside as it does in Wales! Fantastic little cafe with 5* service. We had iced coffee & chilled in the shade. Boss man had a lovely chat with us about the dogs & even gave them a free very nice cool treat which they very much enjoyed. Just what we all needed on a hot day. Came in yesterday for a late lunch with my partner after snowdon and had a nice time. Food was good and liked the outside area but our experience was made by the exceptional service from the young lad who worked there. He was brilliant from start to finish, really chatty and friendly and nothing was too much. Didn’t catch his name but he was excellent. Thank you again. We had an interesting experience at this place on Saturday night (11th Oct). Live music was on and is every Saturday night, unfortunately we were not allowed to go inside as we had my dog in tow, strange that most cafe's are dog friendly these days, but them's the rules. We had to sit in one of the wooden pods outside, temperature wasn't too back but I suspect during winter time, these pods would benefit from a heater. As we were sat outside, we had the experience of listening to the owner in one of the opposite pods "hold court" about all sorts of subjects, drinking beer and using extremely colourful language, it totally spoilt our visit. Thankfully after about 25 mins, he went inside to sort some issues with the volume of the speakers in the outdoor area and once he came back, the music managed to drown him out just a little. The irony! As a result, we were not expecting much from the food, however we were pleasantly surprised! We had Southern Fried Chicken (on a waffle!) and chips and it was excellent & made up a little for our initial disappointment. I understand we all work hard and need an outlet, but doing it in front of customers does not give a great impression of this place. 2 out of 5 for the overall experience. 5 out of 5 for the food! 10/10 Best cafe we went too all holiday, amazing staff, amazing service and amazing food. Will definitely be visiting again!
