Had lessons here a lot when my Grandparents were in Stathern. Came again to play (only 1st 9 this time) 1 excellent course which is clearly perfectly maintained with short, fast greens and undamaged fairways. Obstacles and course design is still good. Friendly staff and a club shop and driving range too! Fantastic, pre booked, although course has had issue throughout the winter they are now getting it ready, we visited to play and try out the course for a weekend away, overhaul experience was good, yes the greens and the fairways need time but the overhaul thing is very good, some really interesting holes, long per 3, long par 4s, but very forgiving as wide fairways, we cannot wait to visit in June and on top of that the hospitality of all was excellent, would recommend if in the direction, Cracking golf course, tight, so you have to plot you’re way round. Excellent greens, and the work they are currently doing to the ones where there are temps will all be worthwhile in the future. Will definitely return. I played in a team match at Melton Mowbray Golf club and I'm very impressed by the quality of the course and friendliness of members. I definitely want to go again. Small, tight course and not overly challenging, but for a game none the less. The driving range is a standard with a bucket of 20 balls for £1 giving a nice cheap way to get the practice in. The function room is also very nice. Great value for money and really enjoyed the course. We received a very friendly welcome. Would certainly play again in future and recommend the course to other golfers in our network. Played as a 4 ball today, first time visiting. We wouldn't play there again, the greens need a cut big time it was like putting on a football pitch very bobbly affected all of our putts we had to just give longer gimmes, fairways very tired. Lots of courses struggling this year in the UK but this is the worst of the bunch and you expect better from a private course. Very forgettable course, no interesting or signature holes. Great golf course, quite challenging, goid value, food avaiable in the clubhouse daily Played the course for the first and probably last time on the 4th Feb 2024. I paid £32 for the round, which I thought was too expensive as a result of the state of the greens. I get it's winter and we've had some wet and cold weather, but the green's were under maintenance, there was a temp green on the 13th and the course itself was average and not a particularly interesting layout. So for me, it wasn't worth the cost i paid. To be honest, I've played better municipal courses, which are lower cost. Overall, not a bad course, but not one I'll be going back to in a hurry. We had a golf day here, everybody really loved the course and found a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the club. We hope to be back soon. A cold day for playing but enjoyed the company of fellow senior players. Played here today and found it delightful!! Really challenging course that’s in great condition.
