This is a park with pods to rent and lakes. So, if you're a caravanner who likes to fish then it's 5 stars for everything. The first and main thing to say is that it is the cleanest of places, the cleaners do the best of jobs all the time - 5 stars for them. The pitches are roomy with lots of space for awning and car and room for manoeuvre. It was quiet, easy to get to - follow their directions - but frankly for me it was boring, I did walk into Melton Mowbray, a very long walk with a disappointing end, nothing really to see there. No bus that I could find to ease the journey home either! The place is big and if you don't want to walk far you can follow the dog walk round but no outside the apart from on pavements and busy roads. There is a club and restaurant, the food is excellent there and the impeccable so recommend that, especially breakfast. So if you want a quiet break, not bothered about nice country walks, and you want to fish this is the place to be. Absolutely beautiful adults only touring site. The whole place is kept fantastic, the shower rooms are to die for with underfloor heating and rain showers. Definitely my favourite near to home . Will return soon, and anyone reading this you need to visit to really appreciate the whole Fantastic park. Adults only the was full yet seemed quite no noise just tranquil settings. The pitch size was good pitch 69 but others can be booked at twice the size. Excellent very well kept spotlessly clean, full and easy facilities on pitch with some of the best toilet shower blocks I've seen. 2 well fenced secure dog so you can let even our little jailbreak pups off. Great around lakes to a lovely cabin bar restaurant that also is dog friendly and nice food and friendly helpful staff. Not often I give five stars but definitely well deserved will definitely be going back. 👍 Having visited many a in my days, I can say without a doubt this 5 star adult only would get 10 stars from me. The individual shower suites with toilet, basin, shower, large bench seat, underfloor heating and piped radio, are first class. (You really don't want to leave, having enjoyed your shower.) Toilet blocks are also top notch, 10 out of 10 for the cleaning staff. All the were pleasant and helpful. Every part of the is clean neat and tidy, including the toilets for the anglers. Can't comment on the as I've not fished there yet, but pegs are tidy and well spaced, and I'm assured by anglers, during our stay, that it's well stocked with a good variety. Reception has a shop with limited essentials but lots of gifts stuff and all the bait you'll need. Cafe bar seems very nice, didn't sample the fayre, but enjoyed a coffee there. Enjoyed a few around the park. All in all the best park I've stayed at and will without doubt revisit soon, with tackle on board. Stayed in our own . Facilities are outstanding so clean ! Restaurant for food and drink choices great . Then cake scones coffee available . We love the breakfast too. No faults . So relaxing . Nice Christmas turkey dinner with a Christmas cracker , they go all out . Polite . Had lunch here with a group a few times now but today the went over and above what would be considered normal. We had a puppy with us in the car (golden retriever) and he was quite anxious being left and we were in the non dog area to eat, we explained this to Jonny the manager and instantly he found us a table (for 13 of us) in the dog allowed part of the restaurant, this is close to Christmas and the place was very full, he found additional tables and moved furniture etc to accommodate us, all of this with a smile, fantastic customer service, the food was brilliant and he found the time to come and make a fuss of our dog. Thank you Jonny and your staff, you were brilliant. Absolutely beautiful but be aware if in a motorhome there is no point for grey water with the advice given to release on pitch, I shudder at the thought of the caravanners baying for my blood if I were to do that! Maybe you could add a point to your extensive facilities? Absolutely fantastic accommodation. The are amazing. We ordered a delivery of shopping between 3 and 4 and they turned up at 2.15 but it wasn't a problem as Maddy on reception sorted it all out for us. Took our shopping to the lodge and put our frozen and cold food away for us. This was above and beyond good customer service. Will recommend this place 100% Had a mini break here in our motorhome. This venue is immaculately kept, from the under floor heating and smooth radio in the pristine showers, the in the bar to the maintenance on site. The were friendly and helpful, even when busy. We will definitely return, it was most enjoyable 😊 What an amazing, relaxing, environment from the minute you drive through the gate. Every part of any experience you book (fishing, caravanning, glamping or Luxury Log Cabining) is well thought out, clean and above expectation. Couple this with the fact that the personnel, who are there to help and ensure your break is smooth and enjoyable, genuinely seem to love the place they work in. Love it Absolutely blown away. Certainly earns the five star rating. Pitches and entire park was immaculate. Shower block was amazing. Food was first class. Special mention to Pete the maintenance guy, came to the rescue when my had a flat tyre. Really helpful and polite. Looking to go again very soon We stayed in a lodge and had a fabulous time. The accommodation was spotless. The is very quiet and peaceful. The meals were fantastic in the Lake Bar and Tearoom. All the were polite and helpful. As the is nicely spaced out there are some lovely walks. Highly recommended so will return.
