I don't know what I was expecting but the lodge was so spacious and extremely well equipped. The lady on reception was lovely and it is set in such beautiful countryside. It was so quiet and so close to the ferry for Fowey. I will definitely consider returning. We stayed here two years ago and decided to return for a long weekend. I’m honestly surprised by some of the older negative reviews, as our experience has been nothing but positive. The staff here are incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. There’s nothing outdated about this place—everything is just as it should be. When we arrived, we did encounter a small issue, but the team immediately apologized and took care of it. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a great experience!
