Polperro Beach

Polperro is a very beautiful fishing village, love to visit. We stopped for scones and tea half way down, it was delicious. The only fly in the ointment is the car parking, you can only pay by CASH. We had to walk into the village and find the post office to get some cash and the go back to the shop to pay before we left. It was also a real pleasure to ride on the tuk tuk back up to the car park. I prefer Polperro over Looe but make sure you have actual money for the car park because you can't pay by card! Very odd! Polperro is so picturesque and is an idyllic setting for picture postcard streets which are quaint and historic. Definitely recommend a visit. Another tick on my bucket list to visit in Cornwall… amazing place, panoramic views. Beautiful cottage’s cling to steep hillsides. Lovely small sand & pebble beach, with a cave. The sea is shallow and gentle, although difficult to access at high tide due to sea covering stairs onto the beach. It’s shady in the afternoon due to the cliffs overshadowing the beach, but still beautiful. Stay away from parking rip off. Rest of village is nice Wonderful enclosed cove. On a sunny day, the water is beautifully green and clear. There is also a harbour wall on opposite the bay which is available for jumping off. Lovely little cornish harbour village. Small Dog friendly and Selection of shops in the village. Few pubs by the harbour to enjoy food and drinks. Parking about a mile up the road as you can't drive near to the but it's a nice little walk down. (Cash only carpark so have change before you go although there is a note changer machine but it doesn'ttake card, also spaces on the small side). Couple of small Caves to explore on the beach. Sadly, completely inaccessible for a disabled driver with hand controls and mobility issues. Closest car park perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 mile from beach, etc. Think I would have had a better chance getting a boat from Looe.
