This is one of the boarding points for the Pletna, a traditional Slovenian wooden boat. Handcrafted in Bled since the 1590s, the Pletna resembles a gondola but is wider and more stable. It is operated by a Pletnar, a standing oarsman who gently rows by pushing the oars forward, creating a calm and quiet glide across the lake. From here, visitors can travel to Bled Island. Payment is made in cash, and the usually departs when 6 to 12 passengers are on board. The pier is located near the village of Mlino on the southern shore of the lake, offering a peaceful, natural atmosphere and a more local, authentic feel.
