This is a lovely but it didn't really blow me away. I enjoyed my and the rushing water in the part is very pretty but this piece of nature is competing with so much other and more stunning nature that it just didn't feel like it wowed me. Still, if you haven't seen any impressive gorges in the past then you might enjoy this, a lot. I took the shorter, 1hr back and it was pretty. There was a bit of hiking up before it leveled out. If you want to buy tickets on site, you need to drive couple km back to the central where the office is located. From central would drive you at the entrance... This has a well maintained built walking path that is easy to navigate. Your provides at a specific time. There is a little cafe at the point.They have installed netting to protect against falling rock. You will still have to wear a provided protective hat upon entering. We did see some small rocks falling during our walk. It's a gorge. This is not a loop. If you wish to return to the entrance, there is signage at the end. The at the end to go back to town was a bit uphill. Most people at the lots and take the shuttle. You can also or bike here from bled depending on where you are staying. I highly recommend buying your online in advance, it saves a lot of time. If you’re coming by car, is free, but be careful: the first lot is paid and doesn’t belong to the gorge. Drive a bit further to the second area, where staff will guide you where to park. From there, an electric bus runs every 20 minutes and takes you directly to the (cars are not allowed beyond this point, only motorcycles or bikes). ⚠️ Important: your is only valid for the 20-minute time slot shown on it, the gate opens only during that time! 💧 There’s also a restroom available at the entrance. All in all, very well organized and the nature is breathtaking, a must-see when visiting Bled! 🇸🇮💚 The is wonderful, path is well maintained and secure (you need to wear a helmet). Please be aware that access is regulated via an online service (you can also buy a at the 1 but not at the entrance!). They let you in exactly (!) at the minute printed on your ticket, not a single minute earlier (we tried). The is 1.6 km and easy, the way back to the is a lot longer. You have the choice of either a mountain path (alpine) or a more covered one (forest) which is also slightly shorter. We took the forest one as the sun was strong, a good choice though notice that the last half of the way back is without cover to protect yourself from the sun. All in all a worthy trip. a 1 for as the at the costs 10 Euros otherwise! This was the best walk/hike I've ever been on. It's nice and cool when walking through the gorge. They are very exact on when you're allowed to enter (no going in early), but that was actually nice because it meant that there were not many people around you when walking. A must destination in Slovenia for its astonishing natural beauty. We can buy the tickets from the bled bus station, areas or online. A bus is also available from the bus station. Very rewarding from the top to the waterfall with views on the way. You can either at the top (in P1) or at the bottom (P3). You can buy your tickets in the car which include all expenses, this was €45 for us, a family of 3. We parked in the bottom car and caught the bus to go up to the top. (You can also take 2 different walking routes). Once we arrived, we were able to go straight in with a helmet, and walked through until the waterfall. Once at the end, there are marked paths back to P1 and P3. The sign across from the bridge recommends to go left, but I would recommend to go right down to the bottom of the waterfall for lovely views, and then climb back up again. It's not advertised at any point, but the back to the car park, at least P3, is quite steep with steps in some parts. About a 15-20min back to the car park. Great hike/walk. 1. First mile or so is along the rushing waters of the gorge, some of it on wooden walkways. 2.After the you can go left through the woods to return or go right to ascend 1000’ or more to the beautiful, tiny St Katarina chapel and then wind your way back to the beginning. 3. Definitely wear sturdy sneakers, but hiking boots aren’t necessary. 4. Book your in advance (15 euro per person) and it gives you an EXACT time to enter. 5. Snack bar and bathrooms are available at the beginning and after the part of the walk. Very nicely arranged access - you and a bus takes you to the entry point. The only thing that bothered me was that we couldn't enter even five minutes before the scheduled time - this is a bit annoying if you buy tickets and a storm is approaching. Otherwise, worth a - maybe cheaper off-season Amazing place to have contact with the nature. It takes around 2.5 hours to do the whole experience. One hour to see and hear the autoguide though the Vintgar and 1.5 hrs to hike back to the of the park. The is and a great experience, also for children. It’s a very organized site, and preparation really helps to make the most of the visit. For families – you can pick up a booklet with activity accessories for kids at the booth. Most of the activities are set along the return trail through the forest and the scenic viewpoint over the valley pn the way back. Our kids (ages 9 and 6) absolutely loved this experience! At the end, they received a small souvenir. We completed the trail in about two and a half hours and walked fairly quickly because we were worried about missing the last bus back to the area at the end of the day (buses run until 20:00, then vans until 21:00 – we visited in July). On the way back, as you exit the forest, there’s a restaurant with a well-maintained playground. It looks like a great place to stop, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time because we were in a rush. We did the full round trip at Soteska Vintgar and loved it. From Bled we took the bus to the Vintgar starting point, and after the we returned to Bled with the same bus - included in the price. Tickets for the trip can be bought online. Buses run every 15–20 minutes, and you can also start from the Vintgar if you come by car. The whole experience took around 3 hours. The trail goes along the river, through the forest and meadows. The is stunning, with wooden paths above crystal-clear water and the sound of the river all around. Peaceful, fresh, and absolutely worth the visit. Absolutely stunning, very well organised tours and bus from Bled included. Slightly cranky man handing out helmets at the start does not approve of queueing despite large tour groups doing so. Excellent coffee at the entrance. water fountain. Brilliant QR code system. We should have worn trail shoes or boots though - our fault, as it is a bit slippy. Spectacular scenery throughout and a highlight to visit. The river trail was closed and the king of Triglav trail was poorly signposted. We ended up walking back to Bled instead of finding our way back to the bus. But it was a lovely day and interesting to through villages. Amazingly gorge. Nice trail with railings, bridges going down. We even had to wear helmets for safety. Don 't down too quickly, take your time to enjoy the sights. We walked the "kings" trail back up, took about an hour through wood and pasture- also scenic. Would love to go back!
