Lake Bled was breath taking. It’s the kind of place that feels like it was from a storybook—calm, magical, and utterly serene. We experienced Bled through a day-tour. The little island in the middle, with its charming church and bell tower, is picture-perfect. And just when you think it can’t get more enchanting, you look up and see Bled Castle on a cliff, as galant as it is. To reach the island, you’ll need to take a boat (we paid in cash, but I forgot the exact amount). Once there, you can explore the grounds, browse a cute little shop, and grab some ice cream while soaking in the views. You do need to pay to go inside the church—we didn’t go in, but just being there was enough. It’s peaceful, romantic, and full of quiet wonder. If you ever find yourself in Slovenia, don’t miss this gem. Bled is pure magic. It’s our first time in Slovenia so we had to see iconic Bled. We spent 4 hours walking around the and taking our time to enjoy the place. It’s beautiful as in a fairytale and there’s plenty to do, toboggan, kayak, SUP, take a pletna boat to the island, just walk around, have a picnic. It’s perfect. There’s definitely tourists around, like ourselves but it wasn’t overcrowded on the day we went in late September. We parked at Straza Bled, found the price most reasonable amongst other carparks for the distance to Bled. 3€ for first 2 hours and 3€ for every next hour. It’s also right next to the fun toboggan. Idyllic, restful & charming place to visit! Lovely to take the Pletna boat to visit the church, walk around the and climb up to the church & castle! Blessed to be able to enjoy the beauty of this & surroundings! A with a small island and being overlooked by a castle on an intimidatingly high hill. An absolutely gorgeous lake. I’d recommend two days in the area, with one dedicated to the and castle. if you happen to be in Slovenia, you shouldn’t miss out on Bled lake! stunning views wherever you go! you can take a swim in the lake, there are also boats services! There are resting points with restaurants and ice cream shops. Absolutely stunning. Definitely worth a visit. Free to walk round the and have a swim. Very beautiful place, truly dreamy It’s an absolute must-see when visiting Slovenia. I went there in October, there were some people, but it wasn’t too crowded. What a beautiful place! Such an amazing view with amazing little cafés. Great for taking a walk, taking beautiful pictures or even sitting and watching people walking by. I visited in wintertime and it was magical. It had a beautiful Christmas market with fireplaces and lots os lights.
