We turned up without booking on a busy Sunday lunchtime. We were welcomed by the and enjoyed a leisurely excellent meal. The were wonderful. I hadn't been to west haddon for nearly 30 years but will make a point of going on every possible occasion to The pytchley. I recommend that you make a visit. I didn't stay there so don't know about their rooms but recently had a meal there with 11 family members. They were very busy but the was brilliant. Very professional and everyone enjoyed their meals. The Pytchley catered for our bike group Christmas lunch this year. They gave us our own room and a nice set menu. I had without doubt the best steak pie and chips I can ever remember. was good and would definitely use again. Overall a great experience. Recommended. If your looking for Sunday lunch, with outstanding and amazing food then look no further than The Pytchley Inn in West Haddon. The food here is excellent, plenty of it and very well cooked. Wide choice of meats too and ample vegetables served separately. Highly recommended. Had high expectations for the food as this restaurant was recommended to us and we were unsatisfied. Dull atmosphere & not a very cosy restaurant. Has an awkward layout & did not feel comfortable. Would not recommended to anyone. We felt like we were being watched whilst we were eating and kept being disturbed asking if we had finished our plates whilst we still had food in our mouths. Starter was awful, wings smelt off both which put us off & could not finish. Main course steak & chips were okay. You get a choice of salad or roasted veg, we got the veg it was boiled garden peas, 1 mushroom and half a tomato, was very plain. The only thing we enjoyed most the peppercorn sauce! :( Would give the food an overall rating of 6/10 it was the atmosphere & that ruined it for us. Me and my mum love it here. are always polite and friendly. We went for Sunday dinner with my son too and we all enjoyed our meals. Mum and son had lamb roast and I had nut cutlet. Lovely food. Popped on for lunch today with the wife. This was our 1st visit Staff were extremely polite and welcoming The food was very good. Definitely recommend this to anyone. We will be back After a mix up with our restaurant booking the management and front of house team couldn't have been more apologetic and accommodating. They went above and beyond to rectify the error and we had an amazing Sunday lunch with family and friends. It was a really busy that day too - and yet our hosts smiled throughout and made our visit very special. If only everyone had such a high level of exemplary service. Thank you. I have been visiting the Pytchley for what feels like my whole life and cannot recommend the establishment highly enough. The are incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu is great value and has something for all dietary needs and preferences. The roasts are particularly lovely, and this year’s Christmas menu was even better than the previous one. Well done to all the front of house staff, the chefs and the management team - keep doing what you are doing! A lovely establishment with top class food and to match. Nothing is too much trouble from any of the staff. Tracy looked after us and couldn’t do enough to make our evening pleasurable. Over all a fantastic experience, couldn’t recommend highly enough. I have always found the at the Pytchley Restaurant efficient, speedy and the food is always delicious especially the Steaks!! Firstly the was terrible, on a quiet night over 2 and a half hours to have 2 courses is very poor. Secondly the steak was cooked terribly, which is something the Pytchley used to be brilliant at. I havent been for a few months but I won't be going back. There are to many much better pubs in the local area.
