Great site in a fantastic location. Couldnt be anymore welcoming on arrival. Shower and Toilet facilities are incredibly well kept equally impressive on the day that it had been hammering down with rain that the shower and toilets were mud free and clean. Could not recommend this place more if your looking for somewhere perfectly situated to explore south west wales. Our first time camping and our first time here already planning our next stay. incredible location and so peaceful at night with Croas hands only 13 minutes away offering access to supermarkets and shops and both swansea and Carmarthen close by along with plenty of beaches within 20/30 minutes Didn't stay here, and Cafe was closed as it was a Sunday. It's been about 12 years or more since my last visit, and it is still just as impressive. Immaculate, well kept, great back cast space on every peg. Some superb fish. Unfortunately I caught on my second cast, which for me, doesn't bode well for a productive day!!! The fish was a beautiful 1.5lb Spartic, a first for me, and have a great account for itself on a 4wt rod. Had one knock the rest of the day. Cannot wait to return, I usually fish rivers but when I do fancy a still water, this one cannot be beaten. Thanks for a great day. Loved the nature, Peace, quiet, tranquility, location, animals and hearing the owls... was hoping to see the Northern Lights, hence dark photos...but cloud covered and it rained... but a lovely time away from everything ... thank you 🕊💖🕊 We really had a great vacation! What an awesome location, nice cabin, fantastic view. We don’t fish but loved the lake. Almost every morning we did a walk around the lake and watched the duck and birds. its nice and quiet! Really a hidden gem, we went over to wales because friends are living near Garnffrwd park - they’d never heart of it! They have a small campsite near the lodge, simple but nice. It has new since a couple of weeks, they we’re really welcoming. Helped us out with everything we needed. The cabin is reasonable, we thought it was cute. Some things needs to be replaced soon: but the new are planning to do just that. Everything works just fine, shower, oven, fridge (with small freezer) microwafe, everyting works properly. I was scared because of the water there would be lots of bugs and mosquitoes. But it actually wasnt that bad. Still some wasps though. Anyhow totally reccommend, we’ve seen a lot of castles and waterfalls! The road up to the lodge/campsite is a bit narrow but it was doable - just drive at a safe speed. Not a hotel. Campsite with some lodges. Very nice location and staff Found this gem on pitch up last minute. Absolutely stunning place. Spoke to the new who are just settling in and know this will be a huge success. Quiet, decent facilities even if they are at the bottom of a very steep hill! (Be aware of driving down it!) Lovely cafe that has good coffee and breakfast. The are super friendly and accommodating. Fishing lake is beautiful. Can't comment on the fishing but a lovely place for a morning stroll. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all or into fishing then definitely check out this place.
