Limited parking and the church was sadly closed on our visit but the Abbey was a worthy visit as was the lake walk nearby. Nice stroll around the area, little cafe within the grounds to get a hot drink, serve yourself, honesty box to pay. Nice lake near here aswell. Not a lot of parking. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, a historical abbey ruin and several lakes. Refreshments are available for tea, coffee, and soft drinks also light snacks, on an honour system enabling you to make the appropriate donation. There is also a lovely church to explore, and we enjoyed our visit. Beautiful place. Sadly the Church, tearoom and public toilets no longer open. Sign said it was due to thefts Would recommend the walks almost opposite the Church . Steep climb if you can make it to the top the view is worth it . We visited in Sept and November 24 Abbey is free to enter. Park outside on road A beautiful, tranquil place. A sense of calm lovely place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Walks nearby, community orchard, toilets and you can walk up the mountain. Dog friendly. Small Abbey remains Easily accessible Small car parking area for 3 cars Ruins are small in area coverage but they are HUGE in height! Small church next door with walkway going through, very fascinating and humbling to see family graveyards from the early 1800s! Lovely little ruins set in a neat village with the lake nearby. Took a walk up through Talley Woodland too Beautiful Abbey! It's interesting to see how the stone from the Abbey has been used by the houses near it.
