A quaint little stop about an hour and a half from moville. Teresa, our server, was absolutely delightful and kind, offering quality for how busy it was. I ended up getting an egg omelet of sorts, and the Mrs was more than happy to dine on some Nutella and French toast. Both of these plated delicacies were quite delectable and scrumptious. I'd be more than happy to come here again. The restaurant lay out itself is quite small, but very clean and demure. The bathrooms were also very very clean, I cannot complain. I was pulling in to garage for coffee and sandwich, when I saw the adjacent Oak Leaf Restaurant. I had a look and went in. I was impressed by the fact they had a ramp and an automatic opening door. I got a seat and menu. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. I ordered a 6oz rump steak, well done. It was excellent. Some places if you order well done, you get a steak that seems it came of the sole of a leather shoe. The meal was excellent, very tasty and quickly served. I decided to try the apple crumble with custard and ice cream. I couldn't fault what I got. All together, main course, sweet and 7up came to total of £23.80 sterling, which i thought was reasonable compared to other restaurants i had recently visited. Would I go back ? Most definitely Would i recommend? Most definitely and have already done so. Nearly forgot to add, the music, for me anyway, was excellent selection of rock/pop. First time here, we had our lunch, scrumptious food with good prices, is good, a thumbs up from us, definitely will be back if we comes across this way. My partner and myself stopped here on the way to a concert in june , lovely welcome reception as soon as we walked in ! Had a chat with the lady working , shes a lovely person ! We had two meals and food was so tasty and really well presented ! portions and really reasonably priced we will definitely be back soon! Loved it. Food excellent. Two of us had lasagne and one had beer battered cod. All arrived at the same time. Boiling hot. Chips crisp and dry. Desert was lemon roulade. Amazing. Portion sizes excellent. I thought it was value for money on a Sunday evening. Staff superb. Toilets spotless. Have choice of menus. We'll worth a visit. Very long wait, about 40mins after ordering, food was decent with nothing much to complain about, generous portion sizes. Really great...friendly, huge portions and well cooked food. Plus much nicer, less busy and welcoming than the Ponderosa further up the road Thoroughly recommended Oh and music being played in the background! Very disappointing service. Have eaten a few times here and food and usually very good. Attended with a larger group of family and was a lot to be desired. Food was as always but certainly overshaddowed by the poor service. The waitress who served us made us feel like we were an inconvenience even though we had placed a pre order for food. Asked for red sauce for kids for it to be slammed on the table. While we were preparing to leave another waitress told us we were in the way and it was time to leave in the rudest manner possible. Pretty much told to get out after spending over £300. Very disappointing. Will be a long time before I return here if ever. If your planning a larger group of people for dinner try elsewhere.
