Got some bacon and sausage to try out. super friendly and welcoming. Hoping to get a motorbike crew out here when it’s warmer. Has a bar license and apparently they do a super Sunday lunch. Took a load of pictures to show what it’s like inside. My family and I stopped in Orchard View at time, but only got some pastries to go. I could see that the breakfasts served to the tables looked delicious. After some walking and checking out some antiques else where, we came back for lunch. My daughter and I had the lamb sandwich, my husband had the beef brisket sandwich, and a friend had the baked brie salad. All were delicious. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The store is stocked full of interesting culinary delights. The meat looked fresh and delicious. Before I leave England I want to go back and get some of their sausages. Nice camp site, mainly camping but with a few motorhome pitches. Not all the facilities were open when we stayed. Appeared popular with families with children. Lots of space to walk the dogs and helpful staff. Lovely setting and some great food. The classic was large and all very tasty. The open muffin topped with avocado, smoked salmon and poached eggs was also very good. A decent cup of coffee as well. Shame we live so far away, but will be back next time in area. Unique, cosy shop. Excellent service and delicious, high quality food. Someone had quite a big accident in the and the staff sprung into action and dealt with it very professionally. We were quite impressed. We went for lunch and are already considering dinner one night. A little gem. Lovely near Owlswick. Good coffee and cake options and the lady serving offered me a cake and coffee special price which was nice! Only visited the café and it was nice, good coffee, cakes looked good but resisted! What really impressed me was the sourdough bread on sale (made by Luka, age 17!). I bought some and will be returning for more! As for 'farm shop' I wouldn't agree, they only seemed to have potatoes, but do have local beers, and 'gift shop' items. We visited the here, and highly recommend. The food is excellent quality, good value and well presented. There is plenty of parking, and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. There is also a lovely and butcher within the same area, selling good quality local produce. Well worth a visit Don't bother popping in for a at the weekends like they advertise. All the tables are reserved by the hipster, Patagonia wearing 'campers' that are outside. If you can be bothered to stay, you will receive the wrong order, the food will be cold and the food is average. It used to be so much better. I think they're a victim of their own success and have let the standards slip. They also seem to have a high turnover of staff. Hmmm This is certainly a gem of a site. Lovely, dark sky location with on site and burgers and an interesting 'South African' shop. The owners are a delight - so accommodating and keen to make your stay really enjoyable. The glasses on the side to have some water were dirty, I believe this was probably limescale from the hard water but was very off putting. My overall was nice, however my partner was upset that he was served hard fried eggs. A local gem! We went here for today and it was lovely! Beautiful outdoor seating and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you! Stopped in here for one morning and what a lovely surprise. The inside of the barn did look a little tired but the log fire was very cosy. Staff were lovely and we were shown to a table quickly. Our food arrived promptly and we were very impressed with the size of the portions. One of us had an open bagel and the other had the pancakes. The bacon on both was excellent and we left feeling very fulfilled. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area but pre-book a table online, we went on a random Thursday morning and it was almost full by the end of serving. Amazing time at the camping site and cafe. Staff were always helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. Highly recommend the glamping pods, as they come with a picnic bench and fire pit (just need to buy some wood from the shop). The was the ideal spot for a bit of in the morning. We will be coming back 👍🏻 Disappointing Experience I was really looking forward to visiting this based on the photos I saw on Google. It looked like a well-stocked place with fresh meats, bread, and a variety of products. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment when we arrived. There was no butcher section at all. Just a few bread rolls wrapped in plastic, some jars of honey and jam, and nothing that felt special or local. In the fridge, there were a few sausage rolls and some pastries, but again, nothing remarkable. I ordered a coffee and two babyccinos, which were actually quite decent. I also ordered two fritters for the kids, but those were completely forgotten. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I asked about them, and they realized they had forgotten to serve them and just took them out of the fridge. When I asked if they could warm them up a little, they said they couldn't because they contained egg. But they were so cold the kids couldn’t eat them, and after the long wait, we didn’t have time to let them warm up naturally—so we had to return them. Maybe we just came on a bad day and things usually run more smoothly, but for us, it was a disappointing visit.
