A very pretty nature escape in south east England. We parked our Car at Christmas Common Car park then started off our journey. The is very pretty and scenic. Make sure you take plenty of water with you during this spring / summer season as you will frequently feel the need of water. The surrounding is very vivid and colorful. You can spot deer, rabbits living in peace and harmony. There are some benches to sit and relax. I highly recommend this Chiltern AONB. Thanks. First time here, free parking which was easy to find with the sat nav. Lovely walk, lots of climbs so take drinks. Only negative is some signs are damaged and unreadable and some paths overgrown A great place to hike and enjoy the from Coombe Hill. The autumnal colurs and countryside with Chequers nearby makes Coombe Hillna lovely spot to gave a break. Just a part of England you need to come to this for yourself and see it. If you love hiking or just out for a afternoon weekend take time and down the ancient foot paths that criss-cross the you never know what you'll find, maybe a church maybe a pub 🍻 😉 Rolling hills,woodland walks,picturesque cottages,narrow lanes,ancient footpaths across the countryside,old farm buildings and barnes, partridges/pheasant in the fields,Kites (birds of prey) soaring on the thermals,wild Deer grazing in the fields,just an amazing amount of wildlife,lovely old churches,quaint pubs,wonderful old villages where it would seem that time has stood still for a hundred years. ( I was lucky to see some hares running around a field) So much to see & so much to do,to much to list here. So if you live in London this is on your doorstep, time to get your boots on and go check it out. So Get out and explore England take Google maps with you & explore the countryside you never know what you may find! Lovely old house and gardens. The wisteria was amazing, the biggest I've seen. Some parking on the hilltop but best to park in the old walled garden carpark by the main road junction. Then you can get a real health up and down the heights. Cafe with all essentials too. Also West Wycombe House and grounds (National Trust) is nearby.
