Amazing place for a second chance animal rescue, from chickens, sheep, horses, cows and ponies even peacocks. Amazing charity and supports a wide group of ages children to grandad xxx it has a charity shop to raise funds. Great afternoon out with young children. We could roam about freely and our grandchildren so enjoyed getting up close to the to pet them. Fair enjoyed our time there. Really amazing visit, got to see so many who were all super friendly! The staff were so helpful and gave us a tour without us asking! All of the were very sociable and gave us lots of cuddles! Aside from a shop and some toilets, they aren't any other facilities, the lady who owns it has kept it true to its roots and what you see is what you get! A lovely, organic, sweet opportunity for your kids, young & old, to pet some truly beautiful and have that farm-like experience that a lot of us don't get to experience in our lives. My 14 month old daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself with running around the chickens and patting the and crawling around in the hay and visiting the horses, rabbits and Penelope the pig strolling around. Visited Sunday 28th September on a sunny, autumn day. Our first & was made very welcome by the people running the farm. My grandchildren would love it here so next time I'll be bringing them along. Was to see & meet all the although 3 of the pigs were buried under the hay snoring their heads off 🤣 . Billy Elliott the goat was such a character, he had a poorly leg & was eager to show you how he could limp bless him, he loved his back scratching & was such a smiling little poser. My feet got wet through after walking over the field to meet their sheep so would advise wellies if you on a damp day. Loved our little visit, thanks to everyone for making it so enjoyable. 😊 xx We were so lucky we found this place on our way to Moffat. At this time of the year many farms for children are still shut. We had amazing time petting animals. There are goats, sheeps, pigs, chickens, horses, rabbits and more! and staff. tearoom at mossburn, the place to go , excellent amber is the best Inspirational visit, the staff are as and welcoming as the animals. Recommend everybody to go along, enjoy the the experience and support this worthy cause rescuing and giving homes to in need.
