Swindon, United Kingdom Catholic church

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. We will definitely get great divine experience from this church.. !!! Always positive vibes only Very busy church. Feel like you are in Goa. Everyone speaks konkani including the priests. Roman Catholic located on 2 Groundwell road, Swindon SN1 2LU, having services throughout the week with Sunday masses on Saturday evening at 6:15 pm and Sunday at 8:00, 9:30, 11:00am and in the evening at 5:30 pm. Confessions on Saturday from 11-11:30am & 5:15-6:pm & Wednesday from 6:15- 6:45 pm. The publishes a weekly newsletter where you can find the weekday mass timings and other information on various activities conducted by the parish. The Blessed Sacrament too is exposed for Adoration in the daytime. Parking is mostly in the open spaces where available. There is also a school run by the adjacent to it. Lovely place to pray and attend Eucharistic celebration, but the central heating is off I guess. 31st Dec evening mass had no heating on , it's hard for older people and small kids . Please keep in mind as it's 4° outside. Great parish. Advise coming extra early because although it is a big Church, it completely fills quite quickly. Worst experience at this church. Whenever you come there, its crowded. The crowd is not the concern the management of this has never attempted to make extra seating arrangements for people specially for children and the elderly. Does is really not have money to hire some chairs just on special days as you know it will be crowded. I love coming to this as service is good, choir is lovely and people are kind, but as I said management is not doing their job. They have appointed some strict old ladies and men (who with a frown on their face come and direct and order the crowd in a mean and commanding tone) to check the crowd is not blocking entrances to come and tell them off. Really? U dont have seats and you are telling people off about the entrance. My 5 year old daughter started to cry as she could not bear to stand so long.. my 70 year old mother was about to faint as she could not stand that long, and, so we had to leave in the middle of service. Please do not go to this and save your lives. It's a wonderful place to worship with the God and experience the inner feelings with the Lord Jesus's christ Place of worship... masses in different languages(English, konkani, polish)especially on Sundays. A truly beautiful and welcoming place of worship. Holy Rood is a spiritual gem in Swindon. The interior is stunning with beautiful stained-glass windows and a peaceful atmosphere that helps you reflect and pray. The community is warm and inclusive-no matter where you're from, you feel at home here. I especially appreciate the masses in different languages and the thoughtful way the liturgy is celebrated. The Priests Fr.Lucas(Parish Priest) and Fr.Mark(Assistant Priest) are kind, respectful and always make time for the parishioners. Whether you're visiting for the first time or looking for a regular place of worship,I highly recommend Holy Rood Church. It's a place where faith and community truly come together.
