The service wasn't very good on this visit. They basically forgot we were there. Didn't come and see us to ask about drinks, we had to go to the bar, didn't come and take our order without us needing to track someone down to do so, and didn't want to take out money at the end, and we had to pay at the bar. They were attentive to the others in the restaurant. But we were tucked a little out the way, (which was where they told us to sit) but it meant they forgot about us really easily. Look traditional English carvery with good cozy ambiance The receptionist and servers were super friendly and helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Salmon Wellington is supreme..cooked to order very smoked salmon flavored and the side veggies is served with buffet style, gravy also lovely right consistency Definitely come again Great sunday roast. On last occasion I visited got a takeaway. Good sized portions, and very tasty. Very crispy yorkshire puddings and my wife tells me roast potatoes nowhere near as good as mine, but also no cooking ...I'll live with that 😀 Had a great carvery i would say the best in swindon can get to easy enough near asda orbital a small let down tea wasnt that good. Mum disliked it. food cant go wrong in my opinion Went on mothers day in memory of mum. It was her favourite place. Couldn't stop crying. The staff were amazing as always as they couldn't do enough for us. They also remembered her too. Wasn't the same without her. It was very hard to go back and even harder to try and stay composed. Thank you Toby staff. You really made it special xx Went for breakfast got there at 10am and the lady behind the bar taking breakfast orders very polite. Ordered normal breakfast and coffee which we was told just keep topping up when required (at 3 pound so it should be) food was just warm Got to 11 and we go to get another coffee to be told finished now no more in very rude way. Goes to bar to get a drink that don't open to 11.30. If we was told everything stops at 11am we would have topped up before Some of your staff need trainning in customer service. I went with 3 of my family on 7/9/25 to celebrate a birthday. We went at 2pm and had the Carvery. It was really busy but the service provided by Jenny was first class. The food was excellent I would recommend to everyone. We will go again Wanted to come with my dog and saw on the website it was dog friendly in the bar area. Rung to check but no answer. Left voicemail, no call back. Booked online hours before and then travelled to restaurant after making a booking with details including dog. Turned up to be told they don’t have dogs in the bar as it’s too busy with kids. Waste of time. Update: I appreciate the acknowledgment from the business below, but if the business had responded to my call and VM, or saw on the booking I had placed hours in advance my requirements, this could of saved a 40 minute journey by communicating with me. I did also get booking confirmation which led me to believe there were no issues. To save future disappointment wording on the website should be amended as it sounds like it’s very rare to accommodate non service dogs. This makes sense due to the environment, it just needs to be clearer. I could have contacted them more thoroughly but I feel that at two stages I highlighted my requirements and this fell through the cracks. I did notice my booking was technically cancelled beforehand, but five minutes beforehand while I was driving there.
