One of our best B&B on a three week trip in the UK I was looking for a typical thatched roof B&B to show my kids what it was like, without comprising too much on the quality of the B&B. The White Hart was a perfect choice. We toured the UK from Folkstone to Inverness for roughly 3 weeks this summer. This was one of our top B&B's for many reasons. The room was great, the size, the cleanness (which is not granted at all in the UK), the amenities, the value for money, so all in all it was great. Secondly the food was fabulous, both the diner & breakfast, we really enjoyed with my son the sausages, they were amazing, we will remember those! What really set this place a part is the staff / owners they were extremely helpful & customer orientated. For example I had an issue / challenge with the rooms (as my daughter absolutely wanted us to be in connecting which we had not planned) and they were able to fix this problem in a flash, so really happy about that too. It was also super dog friendly for my poodle, so perfect! Overall we really recommend this place and would definitely stay here again if in the region. This is the nicest hotel l have stayed in. All the staff were friendly and polite. The food was so tasty with generous portions. Breakfast was amazing, fruit juice, range of coffees and a huge English Breakfast plus other choices. My room was large and very comfortable. No real view from the window but that was fine as it was cosy and peaceful. Extremely comfortable bed with a memory foam mattress. Also the whole hotel was spotless. The bathroom was posh with a great shower. It's a dog friendly hotel which is nice. I didn't want to go home! Thank you to everyone for the two nights l stayed there. I had been to a funeral of a relative in Royal Wootton Bassett, plus l am getting over losing my husband to Alzheimer's in August. It was so nice to relax and have food cooked for me for a change. Plus l made two new friends from the USA whilst being in the hotel! Really lovely little b&b/hotel. Breakfast is amazing, great choice and quality. Real batista coffee. Rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Pub is lovely the food is REALLY good. Staff can't do enough for you. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Stayed for 3 nights as in Swindon for work. Great place to catch some late sunshine, extremely friendly staff, lovely crisp clean pint. Food has been outstanding, eaten here twice since the new owner/s. Very fresh. Produce has not been compromised, ingredients lovely and fresh giving the end product amazingly taste. 1st time was a stop for lunch and was such a tease to the taste buds that had to try again. Gone down the meat route and was not disappointed. Well done 😁 What a fantastic pub and accommodation!! Outstanding service, cosy little rooms at a very fair price. We were just passing through but now wish we'd stayed longer My walking group of 9 adults plus 2 dogs had lunch at the pub yesterday. What a lovely place. It has been recently refurbished and is very cosy. We like to pre-order our food, which was all very easy, and on arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and we all enjoyed a tasty lunch. We will definitely be back! My daughter booked us an accessible room. My husband and I both have mobility problems and the Room 1 that catered for everything that we could possibly want. The room was warm and comfortable and the bathroom was superb. We will become regulars when we visit our family. Thank you Me and my partner went for a Sunday roast and unfortunately it was not up to standard. They delivered me a children’s chicken roast which was their error. We sent this back. This left my partner eating alone. Unfortunately our food was also cold and wasn’t fresh. Nothing on the plate was warm in the slightest. The cauliflower cheese was tiny and nothing had any flavour. We left most of the food on the plate and left hungry. There was no apology for giving me a children’s roast and they also never came to check up on the meals. They also included a service charge on the bill which we paid but won’t be going back.
