As a local pub it does a very good job at: - providing a perfect atmosphere for occasional meet ups; - has an open air area; - has very good quality entertaining; equipment such as 2 pool tables, 2 gambling slots and most importantly I was impressed by the availability of electronic darts (imagine how much more exciting it is to play darts when the score is calculated for you) -has a lot of space overall; Besides being a great pub, it performs as a very decent dining place where you will encounter: - extremely friendly, smiling and patient staff: since I came once with my mother whose first language was not English, we had to take quite a bit of time when ordering and it was treated well; -clean and tidy tables -EXTREMELY CHEAP food -big range of tasty food You could tell that it is great calm place for dining as a lot of eldery people visit it. I myself had a very nicely made apple crumble which I enjoyed a lot! To conclude, this place is perfect at day for a cheap but tasty meal with your kids or friends; at night for a pleasent time with a pint of beer and entertainment options! Really nice local pub, with friendly staff, and good quality pub food. Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere and the are so friendly and helpful! You don't find many pubs like these anymore! Great customer service provided by at the Windmill, especially George. He is a great asset to the pub. It really was service with a smile. He gave recommendations and was very attentive. We would most definitely return. Food is absolutely banging. Service is always top tier, from the lovely, funny staff. The prices, and deals on food & drink just about hit the sweet spot. The Guinness is beautiful- genuinely top 5, maybe even top 3 in all of Wiltshire (I would know). The take their time, and pour properly. Strong creamy heads every time. I'll always TRY a Guinness in England, but its very rare that I will miss every bus and stay to have as many pints as my wallet will allow.
