The landscaping has been changed to make the more accessible, in recent weeks. New lighting has been installed on the monument so it's often lit up in different colours. A nice place to sit and look at wild water birds at the edge of a pond in peace. Lovely walk here in east Cork in the town of Midleton. Mid way through the walk you get two options, the left leading to a woodland walk or right bypassing the town. Great car spaces.
