Wow, what a unique winery experience!! So thankful we booked a package. The owners were so accommodating and gracious. They had family there at the time we booked. They shared thier delicious torte de Nonna from a local bakery. Everything was first class and the was awesome. We ordered some to be shipped back to us in USA. The owners are so amazing. Definitely book a experience with them when you are in the area. They only take reservations, no walk ins. Very building, the vineyard is beautiful and perfect for photos. We had a there and the 2 owners were impressively nice, the food served with the was exquisite and the itself is a delicacy. Overall very good experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a place to taste and have lunch. We have been twice in the last month and WOW, both times we throughly enjoyed it. The building is set in a stunning location, you are greeted warmly on arrival and given a tour and explanation of the making process. There is some art displayed to enjoy as well. Once you sit down to try the you are served some delicious food and with each course you get to sample 2 to 4 wines. It's incredibly relaxing and the are explained in detail. We tried 8 on our first visit and 9 on our second. There is no pressure to purchase when you have finished, both times we were there for around 3 hours. The cost was €35 each and is worth every euro, pre book before you arrive. We will definitely be returning when we have friends visiting and purchase some more . Palma and Maurizio are excellent hosts and their is amazing. We toured right before the harvest and the grounds were scenic with a lush vineyard with beautiful ripe grapes. The food was amazing and plentiful so come hungry! The art is a nice touch as well. Highly recommended. An exceptional winery in the Pisa area. 10 hectares of land where 9 different are being made. It is worth a visit because of the quality of the and that the winemaker/owner is presenting the thinking behind (it is a interesting and well composed mix of architecture, art and wine) and the process of the winemaking. The range from 15-105 euros and are made from Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and cabernet Franc. The food was plentiful and of good quality. We were lucky to get a reservation for a the night before and had a beautiful local experience! Palma and Mauricio were so generous and kind with sharing their stories, delicious lunch and ample tastings. Absolutely highly recommend! We had a splendid time at Podere La chiesa all thanks to Palma and Maurizio who took their time to talk us through the history and process of curating organic tuscan wine. I was in awe of the architecture of the entire place not to mention the details of all the art decos displayed. The quiche was definitely a huge plus for this amazing tour!
