One of the Best Places To Visits in Saint-Pierre Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. This was owned by the same family for over 800 years till the early 19 hundreds, thereafter by a senator from Genoa and finally, now by the Aosta region like most of the restored castles in the Aosta valley. You can only it with a which will enrich you knowledge and make you infinitely more interesting than making the on your own. At this time, end of May 2025, there is a temporary exhibition featuring works by the local sculptor François Cerise cutting his wood figurines from large blocks of materials. I found the most interesting part of the being the red pine ceiling with its hundreds of of carved figurines. I should have brought theatre binoculars to admire them. That will be for next time... Nice from the outside. Visited guides in Italian only, no pictures allowed inside. There are a few info panels in English, but they are very rudementary. They should work on this to attract more international tourists. Guide wasn't too friendly The was built, restored, adandouned, refurbished many times. Every room and every stone tells a different story. The guided is so intriguing. It is one of the most interesting castles of the Valley solo guidata e solo a gruppi. Personale gentilissimo, disponibile e preparato Bel medievale, merita la guidata. bello e interessante A small but interesting with a lot of history. We were given a fantastic guided by Max. €3 for entry into the with wonderful views. The frescoes and artwork were wonderful and our did a wonderful job explaining about it. :: GREAT VIEW & TOURS :: With a working farm and vineyard, this shows the both military, religious, and agricultural history. The was great - we learned a lot about the castles construction, use throughout the centuries, different architectural styles, and the social/religious changes that dictated construction. Enjoyed wandering around the natural history exhibits. Got our tickets and had a ten minute wait for entry as entry is supervised. One hour is allowed for the so we took advantage of the wait and admired the views. There is a small car park approx 50 metres away or a much larger one approx 400 metres away. Great visit, the was very helpful and patient as our Italian wasn’t very good!! Must to see the felling of the ... good history thru the years Nice with obligatory Italian spoken guided (3 euro for an adult). We were however allowed to walk on our own. All signposts are in Italian. We enjoyed the experience very much. Old with old fresco's. Amazing castle, the kids were free & everyone loved it! We also learned about local & natural history. Consigliata la We wound up going here during a free day on Courmayeur after realizing Forte di Bard was too far for a day trip. Museum was fine but not much else in the area, you also have to pay for the guided which is conducted in Italian, our translation app crapped out (Italian is spoken rather quickly!) so we mostly stood around while the Italian guests slowly moved through a narrated of all the nuances. Staff were very friendly and might be better if you’ve got a downloaded speech translation app handy. Grotesques and frescos were cool, but just a bit sparse compared to some other places. I came to and visited it during Christmas time. Fortunately it is open! Really worth to I have to say! The views from the is quite good and I really love the wooden sculptures inside. The is so professional and vivid, more than good! Thank you Mr. M..sorry I forgot the full name of my guide. Thank you for your extra showing around and English for me!
