The first floor houses royal objects and the second is a museum with ibex and chamois trophies. Interestingly, electricity and heating were installed around the house for the comfort of the family. To see more than the ground floor, you take a guided tour for €8, which runs fairly often and takes about half an hour. I found the history of the kings of Italy who used it as a place to go to hunt interesting, as it was full of portraits of the Royal families. The hunting trophies forming the decoration of the main hall were quite remarkable, You have to take a tour to go in, but the guide is great; all the staff super friendly! The is more like a palace, its super nice, but small, so the tour takes 30min, and then you have some pictures exhibition about Queen Margaret and the Hunting. The is surrounded by cows which is lovely. A quick visit. Not sure why it’s called a castle. Quite small. Grounds are peaceful to walk around and the view is beautiful.
