We had a fantastic motorhome stopover here for free, the toilets were locked but we didn't need them, we had a lovely along the beach, watched a fantastic sunset and used our telescope to stargaze until it clouded over views nice for walks, this place holds many memories for myself and my family we love to visit here when we are in the area. Visited here many times. Nice with reasonable access. It's an easy to Culzean castle with the tide out - long route when the tide is in because you can't cut the corner. Super place on a nice day. Its not for Kayaking but you can get parked very close to the making getting on the water much easier than most other locations along this stretch of coastline. A lovely one mile long near Culzean Castle which can be seen in the distance. Easy navigated to. Car parking is available at the top of the road or down by the at the end of the road. Always check the tide times before going as the Tide can come in sooner than the times stated. Two holiday parks are located near the beach. One at the top of the road Culzean Holiday Homes and one at the bottom Croyburnfoot Caravan Park beside the . The nearest big towns would be Ayr which is 10.9 miles away and Girvan which is 14.2 miles away. The road can be narrow so caution is advised incase you meet other vehicles. But there is parts to pull into if necessary. Can be windy at times. Can be Jellyfish on the at times so caution for dogs. Only downside was the jellyfish! We love Croy, and regularly take the dogs walking here. You can see Culzean Castle and when tide conditions are favourable, all the way along the coast. It is normally fairly quiet and for swimming. Lovely with overnight parking Beautiful beach. Always clean and few people around. Car park, dog friendly, but no shops / toilets near. Nice clean beach, it was quiet as the schools were in and not many people were in the caravan park, we did find a few jellyfish and one was quite big. Because it's further out you don't get the hoards of rowdy teenagers. It's a family friendly beach. It's a nice tidy well kept with lovely clear water and a view. Plenty of opportunity for a bit of paddle boarding! The only downside is that if it's a really nice day and it's a bit busy, parking can be a bit tricky. Overall, a cracking place for a day out! wee spot to pitch up, free parking no far from the beach, tide doesn't come up far at all can the length of the all day/ night.
