No facilities, but free parking. Plenty spots to sit and watch world go by..Great for dog walks, mountain biking What a place. We visited after heavy rain fall so the streams and tributaries were heavy with water making it very beautiful. It’s a lovely dog friendly area. On a clear day the are incredible. To be fair even on a cloudy day it’s still very atmospheric! Had a lovely here today with the family and our two dogs. We chose to come here after reading the reviews and it saying there was a decent path. Wasn’t disappointed, we walked at the side of the stream on a tarmac for approx 3.5km round trip. Plenty of crossing places to the other side but then the was more muddy and not tarmac so stayed in the one side. Great place to the dogs and look at the welsh countryside without getting too muddy. Well Worth a visit. Parc Calon Lân is such a lovely place to escape into nature. The across the valley are stunning, and there’s a peaceful calm that makes it perfect for walks, fresh air, and reflection. I especially love the little lake with ducks and the seating areas dotted around — perfect spots to sit, relax, and take it all in. and lake at the top of a reasonably long path, perfect for a morning bike ride - the is inclined upwards towards the park, so the way back to Bryngarw Country is all downhill! Arrived feeling great after the along the way. Greeted by a local woman, nice and friendly.. gave us directions to find the waterfall but she said, the pathway to follow was overgrown! She wasn't kidding! There was NO WAY my son and I could get through the gate to read the information board, let alone anything else via that route! Saddened by this as we travelled a 40mins drive for the experience to be let down by this hiccup! The parc entrance was so well kept, clean & inviting. The ornamental/historic stories in the slate walls over the bridge etc were an eye opener too. The 2020 painted pebbles by Sienna & other's... how special is that to be placed as a part in history. What's with the bubbles in the sand of the pond though?? Found no creatures to verify habitat! There's a bike track designated around the but we didn't see/bump into any cyclists yesterday. A very valley. Look forward to revisiting again to explore more. walk. No toilets open unfortunately. It felt like an absolutely beautifully kept secret, squirreled away in the sleepy village Calm and quite atmosphere. A good place for walk. A good place to have some food together. A small place it is. Lovely little accessible walk. Stunning and solid pathways, very clean. Perfect place to take the family. So peaceful place to visit good for walking circles and take dogs walking but please keep clean and respect the place. We love it there really good for clearing your mind after long day work . around the park, it is paved for those with mobility trouble, and if you're feeling fit a up into the forestry is worth it for the veiws across the valley, breath taking. I will definitely go back. A hidden gem nestled at the top of the Garw valley. There’s a pleasant on a decent around the lake or if you’re more adventurous, the leads up into the hills. I wasn’t that adventurous. Lovely alongside the river, easy trail to Pontycymer. A tranquil parc with breath taking views. It is great for long dog walks and cycling. The main paths are tarmac but there are plenty of smaller walks off these and off road cycle tracks for various abilities There is small lake with duck's and plenty of seating areas around to sit and just relax to enjoy the stunning scenery all around. There is a small picnic with benches within walking distance of the free parking and also a nicely enclosed equipped for children to play in. Lovely part of the welsh valleys. It's got cycle paths, nice walks, and play for children streams and a pond with ducks. I go there to fly my drone in the evening when there are not so many people around i love it. Absolutely Brilliant Accidentally took the bike path, worked out ok as it was a week day. Lovely woodland walk. Need to return as there’s a lot to explore. Lovely little cafe over a bridge, just down from the car park. Would recommend, very friendly staff, gorgeous cuppa. Lovely park, even on a misty day! The are breathtaking. You can remain on the paved throughout so don’t need to worry about mud too much! Will definitely be back here on a sunny day as well! LA lovley calm place to sit and contemplate the words of Calon Lan, and the beauty of the Welsh landscape Lovely place for a picnic and with the dog. Free parking and lots of lovely woodland paths. with lovely views. There’s a small library for kids at the entrance such a thoughtful addition!
