A place to walk. We completed the Bryngarw circular walk up over the mountain and up the cycle route to the Oriental Garden and Riverside Trail and then onto the boardwalks. Fantastic and lots of nature to be seen. We'll worth a visit and a great place for the kids, don't forget to pick up a puzzle leaflet for the children. We had spent a half day here with a lot of great findings. Beautiful and views in the area. The paths are well paved. Trees, bushes, sculptures, ducks and ponds, Absolutely a place to spend with families, or just with your loved one. Great country that's had a lot of thought put into accessibility for everyone! Blue badge/ Disabled parking as you get into the car park, it's free for badge holders in the correct bays, otherwise it's payment on the meter, there's one outside the visitors centre. I think it's card/ remote payment. There's a few walking trails that are well mapped and clearly describe the distance and terrain. Lots of sensory stimulation in a calming environment. The cafe staff are friendly and helpful, having a Dairy Allergy they were knowledgeable in what was safe to eat and what wasn't! I had a rather delicious vegan muffin, freshly made, pistachio, lemon, and chai seed that I would highly recommend 😋 I also had a decaff americano that was a nice to go with it.... £5 as a deal for both! Dog friendly, the cafe did ice cream for dogs as well! Poo bags can be put into the general waste as was stated on a notice I read on site. Lots of benches and picnic benches dotted around. This place is beautiful I can't praise it up enough countryside flowers everywhere beautiful scenery wherever you look plenty of parking I paid £3.50 for three hours or £5.00 all day really good price it's got a large pond with ducks and all sorts of wildlife a visitor centre and shop also a children's play and BBQ areas I visited with a friend on a autumn day and was very pleasantly surprised by this gorgeous park. It is very large with a large duck pond, Oriental garden, wetlands, woodlands and more. The is open 24 hours however the car closes at 4.30pm (in October at least). Just a place to spend time with my grandson. There's a playground and restaurant as well as the main house. We like the duck pond and sometimes we take a picnic. There are lots of walks, the Chinese garden is beautiful. Parking is £3.50 for a half day Great park. Easy to access. And lots of interesting walks. Plenty for everyone to do. Solo walkers, families, dog walkers, young and old, it’s great. However. Parking is expensive and payment methods poor. At the time of writing this, it’s £3.50 to (that’s all day, you can’t choose how many hours) there was also only one ticket machine in operation. This led to a huge queue of people waiting to pay. I waited ten minutes approx. It is highlighted that the parking money goes towards the up-keep of the park. But if you’re only going for a thirty minute walk for some fresh air, this is steep. I will go back, but maybe open up a few more ticket machines What a place to spend an afteernoon. A few different to choose from. We chose the oriental garden and the river walk. Surface is a little uneven in some places and some slopes but all very manageble. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely go again. Some around the forest and river. Great facilities and kids playground. Love this place. Turning into our weekly walking place, with peace and quiet (other than the birds singing), even on a busy sunny Sunday, you will meet others, but the peace isn't broken, or only for a short time. Loads of opportunities for photography, but no hides (the only thing missing). Very busy place for Nuthatch, blue tit, chaffinches & loads of other birds, and the squirrel loves the nuts too. Fabulous place. Brilliant play area for the kids. Lots of walks, warm and friendly cafe for refuelling! Nice country for a short stroll. Variety of landscapes - pleasant riverside walk, woodland, wild flower meadows, a landscaped Oriental gerden and temperate rainforest zone. A decent kids' 0lay area and very popular big slide. Stunning country which is wheelchair accessible. Please note although it's open 24 hours the car closes at 4.30 in the winter at least. We had a fabulous day. Joined the Easter egg hunt and I loved exploring the country with my 3 year old grandaughter. The girls in the cafe were so and friendly I was a bit disappointed that there was no gluten free hot food I could only have crisps and coffee. The coffee was really good. But next time I will take a picnic. The kids was brilliant and walking around the Japanese garden was stunning Amber loved looking for tadpoles and enjoyed being amoungst the beautiful flowers and blossom trees. Perfect day out 🥰 Wonderful nature park. Café is great for coffee and snacks. Good play and picnic areas. Nice walking routes. Oriental gardens are a personal highlight.
