Luxury log cabins, with sauna! highly recommended for a nice quiet break. Large on suite rooms, fully equipped kitchen and utility. Smart TV and a fantastic covered balcony. Perfect location, just an amazing place to stay; it was that peaceful we even had a herd of Deer walking around the cabins. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended. The location is brilliant for travel in different directions and the restaurant for breakfast was excellent.. Both food and setting. Lovely views over the golf course and then relaxing with a morning coffee watching the golfers t-off. We stayed in the hotel and they were slightly dated but better than many of the mainstream chain hotels that have been around for the same timeframe. The did however have a lot of wood panelling/beams on walls and ceilings and could have done with a deep clean in terms of dusting/hoovering. This is not down to the cleaners but the design features of materials used in the rooms. were cleaned daily. There were signs of maintenance needed.. The door leading from the upstairs hallway to outside emergency exit.. Had very large gaps at the bottom which appear to have been chewed/broken and were quite visible and definitely would have allowed unwanted guests into the building.. I don't know why these obvious issues are not immediately addressed? The hotel look out over the golf driving range and we were woken up on the three mornings at around 7-7:30am by the staff going around and operating the tractor/quad collecting the 100s of golf balls and then feeding them onto a mechanical ball sorting/cleaning machine which was very noisy. This was not so much a problem for us as we were going to be getting up for breakfast but if you wanted a lay in? At night the noise from other (TV & talking) was considerable.. The sound proofing between and hallway quite poor. The site does offer log cabins so I think I would try that next time as we really liked the facilities and location.. A bit OF TLC and thought in regards the hotel would make a lot of sense. Our second visit to the Dorset Golf and Country Club was just as brilliant as the first, and we can't wait to return. The communication from the team was outstanding from the start; they provided clear updates throughout the booking process and handled several changes to our reservation with impressive speed and flexibility. The golf experience here is second to none. The 27 varied holes offer a fantastic challenge, and we found the course to be in excellent condition, with some of the best greens we've played on. We highly recommend getting a buggy, especially if you plan to play all the holes. The accommodations were equally brilliant. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was spacious, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after a long day on the course. The food was a highlight, too—every meal was fresh, varied, and the portions were a good size. The service was prompt and the quality was high all around, from the lovely dinners to the great breakfast we enjoyed each morning. All in all, it was a superb stay with outstanding service, and we're already looking forward to our next trip. Omg we all loved the house. It's so pretty and spacious. What a lovely two story wooden house it was. There were plenty extra beds more than enough for us. And it felt so praceful like living inside a jungle . Amazing view with the pine trees surrounding the area. Wifi was great and we watched our favourite shows in the tv as conveniently as we would at home. Loved the experience living there. We recommend to everyone we know as soon as we were back. Wow I left this a week later I've i have been to reflect on the experience even though I stayed 1 night! I must say what a place this is, everything about it tells you why the course used to be top 100, outstanding greens and quirky courses (3 Nine holes). All the staff were amazing and polite and cheerful and the food was delicious. Overall the price for the experience was amazing and now looking to come back next year with 4 of us. Thank you Dorset for your hospitality! Didn't stay overnight this time..booked that again for January. Breakfast and golf on 2 days last week. ALL staff so friendly and welcoming.
