Great just 5mins from the motorway, and first class family run with immaculate modern facilities. Great location at the gateway to the lakes with easy access to the Northern Reaches of the Lancaster canal. The Crooklands Hotel, which is a 5 min walk from the campsite, serves local beer and food all to a great standard. The were very and nothing was to much trouble for them. Will definitely be returning again soon. Highly Recommended! What a site, Paul was very and helpful.. walks along the canal, both ways , found a couple of footpaths, where the dogs could have a run safely, No Livestock , were in any of the fields at the time. The shop is in the Texaco garage, which you can get to along the canal. Where you can get papers and food, and they also can do you a bacon or sausage butty. Crooklands Hotel was and staff friendly, and dogs allowed too. Wonderful quiet caravan park . Set in beautiful well maintained grounds . Beautiful to toilets and are extremely and the have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in them that you can use free of charge the cost 20p for 3 minutes which is more than enough time to do what you need to. The are and and happy to help if you need anything. The washing up and laundry area are immaculate and you can also find leaflets in there if your looking for a day out. We would love to visit again in the spring when our kids break up We had a very short stay, but an extremely pleasant one! The is small and cosy, the amenities are very luxurious! It set a standard that the other campsites we visited in the UK could not live up to I'm afraid. :-D The owner is super friendly, the surrounding area is nice for walking, Lake Windermere close by for longer hikes. I highly recommend! We never got around to that whisky tasting in Scotland Paul as you highly recommended, but promised: first time we have a dram it will be to your health! Don’t take 8ft wide caravan I believe, we have just bought new one was looking forward to visiting but I have asked as all new buyers of caravan are 8 ft now. Hope they can accommodate. Beautiful surroundings, owners, extremely clean, the shower and loo blocks even have shampoo conditioner and body wash. There's also a laundry and washing up room. Very dog and lots of walks including the gorgeous Lancaster canal within metres of the entrance. Little acres is a fantastic little site, exceptionally well cared for, always and tidy, no noise, a cracking pub 200 yards away, by the Lancaster canal which is a good walk with or without your dogs, a super host in Paul and his wife who owns the site. Wether you want a short or longer this is the perfect place, it's one of my favourites. Enjoy. Just left , what a fantastic little . are very and great condition, are a temperature. Pitches well spread out and very neat .pub and walks on your door step . Highly recommend and tidy site. Basic but all you need if you are using it as base - toiltets, showers, washing up and laundry. Pub/restaurant over the road does nice food. Friendly owner! It was clear from the moment we pulled into this that it was someone’s pride and joy. We were then met by Paul the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. It was evident that he thrives on making other people happy and ensuring their holidays are enjoyable. Lovely quiet location with a pub within walking distance. The and overall are highly maintained and very clean. Laundry and washing up were also available and at a very high standard. We liked it so much we booked for a second night! Great location to visit the Lakes and whilst fairly close to the motorway, very minimal noise in the distance and very little light pollution which allowed us to star gaze and even see the Northern Lights! Amazing (showers, washing up point, private toilets, power) and the hosts were very and clearly cared about their camp site. Our second at a wonderful site. Small and peaceful with excellent and well maintained grounds. Beautiful scenery and plentiful walks. What sets it apart from anywhere else are the owners. Friendly, approachable and supportive when things don’t go as planned. Thank you for everything Paul. If you are undecided where to stay, at Little Acres, you won’t regret it. Wonderful little and toilets wonderfully and although you have to pay for the shower (40p) there is free shower gel shampoo and conditioner. Great pub within easy walking distance but worth booking a table if you want to eat. Highly recommend this I was just about to leave my review when I noticed the utter rubbish someone put on 4-5 days ago! I’m actually going to mention this as I was the poor sod near them (Adam’s family) rude, dirty and disrespectful are only a few ways to describe what was a horrible family. Thanks for nearly putting a negative on our stay. You did not succeed however. Two words and second one is head. I digress, what the Paul and Sarah have managed to achieve at little acre can only be described as a small piece of heaven! Fantastically kept and maintained! Wonderful shower facilities, and we even used the washing machine and dryer. The location is absolutely stunning with so many walks you would need to months to appreciate the beautiful area. I never leave reviews but with this little hidden beauty I felt obliged to share and strongly recommend you try it!! If you see a home made version of a camper van though run for the hills hahahahaha.
