When you park in visitors centre car park just outside Grassington. Go to far side of car park through gate head downhill a quarter of miles to and falls. Can go across bridge into Linton head left to church. Continue and cross over stone footpath and head back to Linton or go opposite side in Linton and return to Grassington. Both steady 1 to 2 mile walks with terrific scenery. Walked down to the falls from Grassington, then had a lovely walk beside the river. Been here a few times over the years. Lovely place with great walking trails along the side of the river. Sometimes you may come across a few cows. Lovely place, very busy when the sun is out. We visited Easter Sunday, parking for £3.80 (2 hours). Ice cream van parking in the car park, easily accessible. What a stunning place. We combined it with a walk from Grassington and it did not disappoint. Such beautiful scenery Been living here for 6 mths & absolutely love it. The wharf is beautiful, the variety of birds & animals here are also amazing. On the downside, there is a small % of people who ignore all the signs that clearly say take your rubbish home & no barbecues. Lovely! Drove from Doncaster took 1hr 40mins. Gorgeous town of Grassington just 10min walk from the falls with lots of pubs cafes and a Nisa store if you want some snacks. The falls are stunning with a wide and shallow suitable for kids to walk around in and play. The is grippy and not slippy. The banks are lovely with trees to sit under and green grass to sit on. Easier and cleaner than the beach on a hot day. Tourist centre and toilets in car park with lots of parking available. Beautiful place. Peaceful, clean and tidy, lots of opportunities for a nice photo. And the sun was out. Perfect.
