Browns Bay is a true hidden gem on the Northern Irish coast. This expansive sandy offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The golden sands stretch for what feels like miles, providing ample space for sunbathing, building sandcastles, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll. The is well-maintained with clean facilities including toilets and a small shop offering essentials. There's also a dedicated barbecue area for those wanting to make a day of it. And must grab a coffee from trailer shop. I tried Chai Lette and OMG it was so amazing. While there aren't lifeguards on duty, the water is generally calm, making it a safe spot for families. If you're seeking tranquility and natural beauty, Browns Bay is a must-visit. Pack a picnic, your favorite book, and prepare to unwind. Be sure to keep an eye out for the local wildlife, as it's not uncommon to spot seabirds or even dolphins in the distance. Beach, lots of room to picnic. We walked the trails up the hills, was impressed with a view on a day. The water was calm enough, with people splashing in the water. A few kayaks and paddle boards further out. It is a beautiful place for walking or sunbathing on a sunny day. For me the water is too cold for swimming. Most of the time, it is very windy. There is also a good and large car park. We were very lucky to be staying right beside this beautiful for a weekend recently. One of the most gorgeous areas to swim in! Browns bay is definitely a jewel in our coastline is faIrly clean but not spotless. Their is a good path to walk your dogs and take a stroll with a loved one. Water is clear and not choppy so for kids to play in. Sand is nice and white and for picnics. The toilets were damaged last time there and massive queues to use a portable functional toilet. All in all a area any time of the year and don’t forget apples for the resident donkey. Best you take proper clothing in case you're like me who feels cold more than others do. Stunning place. I have been here twice now and loved it. Joe and Roberta who own the Stable Stop are so friendly and knowledgeable about the Bay. It's just a beautiful spot - am hoping to take my granddaughter next week for a picnic for the full day and so in for a swim myself!!! Browns Bay is a hidden gem! The is peaceful and clean, with stunning views. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing walk or a quiet picnic. The surrounding nature adds to the charm, making it a escape from the city. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
