We walked the trails up the hills, was impressed with a view on a day. The water was calm enough, with people splashing in the water. A few kayaks and paddle boards further out. It is a beautiful place for walking or sunbathing on a sunny day. For me the water is too cold for swimming. Most of the time, it is very windy. There is also a good and large car park. Water is clear and not choppy so for kids to play in. Sand is nice and white and for picnics. The toilets were damaged last time there and massive queues to use a portable functional toilet. All in all a area any time of the year and don’t forget apples for the resident donkey.
