Also has a daily wet fish market. Close to the town, walking distance to the centre. A friendly and easy going tidal marina. It is not a large harbour, so facilities are rather close by. There is little charm, apart from the huge tidal range changing the landscape. The old town is about 20-30 min walk from the marina. De pontoons zijn nauwelijks te belopen, tenzij je het niet erg vind om door de meeuwen stront te lopen. Waarom zittende meeuwen in de jachthaven? Zou dit misschien ook komen doordat sportvissers hun bijvangst pas bij aankomst in deze marina overboord gooien? Niet te geloven! It's nice to see one time, but nothing really special. Très jolie ville Boulogne sur mer avec son port de plaisance et sa belle cathédrale à 2h de Paris ça vaut le détour pour y passer une belle journée en famille où en couplé. De jonge dame aan het onthaal van de plezierhaven (oranje gebouw waar ook de toiletten en het sanitair zijn) met het donkere halflange krulhaar is vanwege haar gedrag (stiekem de bezoekers uitlachen), ongeschikt voor de functie. Facilities were good and we loved the lady with her mobile bakery in the mornings (summer only). Great location for the town centre and the beach is to die for. However …. there is literally a huge colony of seagulls directly opposite on disused commercial infrastructure . hundreds of birds . Their almost constant screeching is very disturbing all night long. The river sluice empties at certain times and leaves a huge gush of brown deluge foam so yachts sit within the deluge for hours . The new pontoon has insufficient electrical sockets for the number of yachts . If you do decide to moor on the new pontoon then it’s a long walk for the shower facilities and refuse collection point. Best avoided unless desperate need of a refuge . Did hit something massive / big at the last part D with our sailboat at 2.00 metre depth.. Little damage because I went slow.
