Really good night are very helpful and friendly and food was tasty 😋 and cheap Good atmosphere, reasonable prices This isn't my usual castle venue as usually go to Nantgarw Caerphilly or Uskway Newport so I was hugely disappointed with my visit here as I expected the same high standards that Nantgarw & Uskway provide. Upon arrival found that the building didn't inspire me much as he main entrance wasn't brightly lit , neither were the Side & rear Car parking areas. Also the car park surface has loads of pot holes & uneven surfaces with debris & rubbish everywhere. The litter bins were rammed full & overflowing . Reception area had no character & appeared uninviting. Limited choice of meals available , were not at all welcoming, friendly or helpful & were somewhat delayed in their response to bringing change to your table when requested. This place is in need of an upgrade & revamp in order to bring it up to the standards of its other venues. Would NOT visit here again. We all had such a wonderful day yesterday at Castle Merthyr. The were amazing so warm and welcoming. Tables were decorated we had crackers and hats. Mince pies and sherry on arrival. The Christmas dinner served was nice and hot and the wine delicious We played all afternoon with breaks in between, the entertainment was brilliant so much fun. I must thank the and manager for making it such wonderful Christmas party x Friendly staff, very helpful and polite, fab night, great food at reasonable prices and good prizes when you win . Great grub here..well worth a visit..old people can be nasty if you talk too loud here 😜 Not enough REAL bingo..too too much 'money grabbing' mini cash on the boards Nice and friendly food is always good Constantly running out of food , no customer service skills whatsoever , poorly ran !!!! Will be trying another club Really need to stop the talking dont say anything, thay a so slow on the food counter , same food day in day out , when it was a cheap night the food que was so long in every interval the 6 of us dident bother , stopped going for a long time tryed it again last week still the same 😞 If your going for a game of either take your own food or eat before you go , service and food is bad this week even the salad wasn’t edible lettuce was brown had to refuse it and it was taken from the counter ,portions are getting smaller, it was not fresh looked like it was made yesterday, that’s me done I won’t have food there anymore now … There were so many elderly people so I thought I should clean up. They fought back would not recommend. My escapism from my wild mad family..Best place to be honest lovely but some won't call for order .find it difficult to concertrat on marking paper tickets..also elderly lady's shouting on mobile phones bless 1 st time to castle in Merthyr, Decided to go as was celebrating my birthday 🎂 Although we didn't win we enjoyed 😊 i don't know what the hell has happened to castle bingo!!! gone absolutely SHOCKING!!!! people talking and laughing all around you, does nothing! elderly lady speaking on the phone like she's sat in the living room!! seriously don't know how many numbers i missed!!! food you wouldn't serve to the dog just chucked on the plate! 9 chips on the meal! customer service is shocking! the would never have tolerated behaviour like this before! If you mention anything to the they just look at you like you've got 20 heads and just look at other like they're dying to laugh! absolutely appalling! gone to the dogs!
