Or may be just to stop and have an ice cream and look at the ducks . Perfect Christmas Eve with the family. Children's play area was good, my 3 year old loves it. Toilets and clean and there's lots to see. Definitely visiting again in the near future. Worth going to explore Very interesting short with the dog. Couple of places to have tea/coffee etc. If you fancy a bite to eat then use the Boathouse. Such a beautiful little with lots to look at and plenty of wildlife to enjoy Lovely walks,. Car show with market stalls on last time we went, so quite busy. Wonderful location by the mere and with beautiful walks through the old Georgian town or over Castlefields to the canal where there are more sculptures. Children love the labyrinth. Stunning place, cremorne gardens overlooking the Mere ❤️ Free to visit, cafe, park, lovely walk, dog, child friendly, all flat, easy access. Started with a reminder of this being a peaceful place......and then another reminder. The sculpture trail in Ellesmere is a great way to see the sights and local area. We did about 4.5miles on the whole trail but many could be seen by doing just 1 or 2 miles around the mere itself. Lots of amenities to use, shops and toilets etc. Nothing to strenuous at all.
