Had a lovely weekend stay, it was exactly as we imagined. Lovely setting hot tub was great to wind down and the lodge matched what we saw before arrival. We will definitely return for a future stay. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a tranquil break away or just a break with the kids. No shops close to the site so stock up on any essentials before arrival. The lodges are clean and tidy, very well appointed and comfortable. Ideal holiday for quiet, relaxing break. The lodges aren't too close or crowded so it feels really private and you can't hear anything but the birds. Private hot tub a huge draw for us, spotlessly clean. 10/10. Hugely recommend Greenhouse Cafe (20mins walk along the canal path) which was advised by very helpful office lady. Perfect for those who need some quiet time and don't want the crowding, noise and overstimulation of a centre parcs style lodge holiday. Have told all my friends to book in! We have just come home from our stay in little log cabin perfect for two and a dog .only one thing that was not great we had to perminanely have the lights on has it was so dark in there being in the middle of trees but an experience we wanted to try out ! The porch was a lovely feature to sit and enjoy the views of the strolling pastures and cows in the fields below . Loved going down of an evening to go and feed the resident donkey Noddy , Tigger and Pablo the ponies .There is a Pig too but a bit shy coming out . Nice walk along the canal tow path to the right continue to get to the lovely pub dog friendly too . Pleasant stay would recommend .
