Went for only. Food good and price ok It's order food and drink at the bar. There are also menu's at the bar as well as a chalk board on daily specials. We were told we had to ask for a table at bar not just sit at one. Could all be made clearer for those who have not visited before Stayed here for just one night. This place is perfect. Firstly, amazing building and bar rooms, Guinness was great. was fantastic, big and large bath and bathroom. TV was a little small by modern standards but no big issue. Bed was really comfortable and was nice and warm. Breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too. This is my ideal type of hotel! We stayed in Cockerel which was spacious with a decent sized bathroom and shower unit. The only downside was the mattress which was rather uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and food excellent from breakfast to evening meal. Stayed here for two nights on the 26th and 27th May in the Pig room. The first thing that stands out is how friendly and welcoming all the staff are. Such a lovely atmosphere. They have an amazing team including the cleaning staff who are so busy but always ready for a little chat . The food was delicious with plenty of choice and served quickly. Choice of a smaller if u wished. Good value. A mention for the breakfast chef . Breakfast was perfectly cooked and the chef was very friendly and accommodating and had great sense of humour. Our was large, comfortable and clean. So quiet, we didn't hear a sound from the downstairs. We really enjoyed our and if we were in the area we would certainly there again. Stayed for one night whilst away on business, great value for the stay, was large and clean, comfy bed. Staff were helpful and attentive, the evening was really good and really enjoyable. Had to be gone early on the morning, so they made me a packed lunch. Recommended for a stay, and if passing for a drink or meal. Didn't so can't comment on accomodation. Impulse stop for the food. Amazing service with sizeable portions. We were lucky that we were the only diners but would highly recommend if you are passing by. Last minute booking. Huge room, clean and comfortable.
