Amazing place. Not many places like this exist in Bulgaria. Definitely worth a 1/2 day trip to see the museum. People don’t realise that this town is very old with rich history from the Roman Empire times. are fantastic. A bit of a history. This place supposed to be a bank building, but in the 80s, during the excavation work for the bank foundation the builders discovered these very beautiful mosaics. I am really glad that the authorities at the time decided to preserve everything and to build a instead of a bank. This is truly amazing and was one of the highlights of my trip to Bulgaria. Built around in situ Roman mosaics, it offers visitors an opportunity to see stunning, ancient works of art with such historic value that they literally grace textbook pages. The staff at the were also friendly and spoke English well. Interesting/amazing display of mosaic flooring from the Roman occupation era. There's a lot of history in the region that most tourists have never seen or realised. Great museum, but a bit old and needs restoration. can be seen as a glimpse into the Ancient Roman lifestyle. The is small but interesting, gives information about the ancient Marcianopol. Keeps very well conserved mosaics, demonstrating the high level that Roman civilisation reached. This is a Soviet era displaying a number of from a private home from the Roman era. Unfortunately, it is not well funded and therefore not well maintained, but it remains an visit. It's good that they keep this in the 100 national sites, because I don't think there might be much traffic of people inside. We visited 5 years ago and it haven't changed. You can scan a QR code and install a app only for android, to listen to the stories of the mosaics. Which is a plus, but what are the iPhone users going to do? Nice, but small. Low entrance fee (5 lv) was ok for it however. Roman empire mosaics. Well preserved. Nice. Very place, but not so many artifacts Не работещ музей. Не си губете времето да идвате. Никога не бих се върнал отново в Девня. Great underrated museum, despite the poor local organisation. At first I thought it is closed but luckily some school children came and entered. Very mosaics, gold coins and artefacts. Cool mosaics, but I would like it more if they clean them better or show a picture/reproduction of the mosaics' picture, so we can see clearly what it's supposed to look like. A hidden gem in this area, worth a visit. The are curious and very well preserved, and the building itself is interesting: it’s right at the archeological site to display the as they were found. The building is clearly outdated in terms of design and materials, but if you are at least a little bit into architecture you would definitely appreciate it. From the outside it may appear that it is not open, but give the door a try. The has archeology. You can use the museum's app for mythological stories. The guide is kind and you can learn a lot from him. The concept and exhibition are but the writing is only in Bulgarian. The exhibition is also relatively small. The entry fee is small too, so I'd still recommend a visit if you are traveling in the area. Exeeded expectations. When visiting ask for a guided tour. Absolutely fascinating with a very knowledgeable git. If you're fan of history, culture and understanding of how things were done I totally recommend.
