Pub times on website confusing they stop serving food in the afternoon but the bar remains open. Barmaid extremely friendly and very accommodating. You can't beat this place for delicious food at fantastic prices and has offer nights which are definitely worth a visit but must book first. Sunday carvery is first class. Visited for lunch. Still as good as ever, and prices don't appear to have shot up like at most restaurants/pubs. Had combo meal of Chicken melt and Gammon steak, was delicious and portion size was very generous. Staff weren't the greatest, but the 5 orders all came out correctly and everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Will definitely go back again, and hopefully soon this time. 😎 Quantity does not equal quality unfortunately! Generous portion sizes but very much let down by the quality of the product. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and received a well done steak which was exceptionally tough and chewy. The onion rings were almost cremated they were that overcooked! We were asked if we wanted to add egg or pineapple to the gammon, which we chose to do, but we did not receive them. The only saving grace was the chips; they were luke warm but really tasty. I’m not sure what all the rave is about to be honest, I definitely won’t be returning. Fantastic food at excellent prices. This is one of our favourite local places to eat out. Absolute delicious 😋 There were 9 of us we all got our meal together even though some were different and they were hot,nice friendly place ,we made a reservation as there were 9 of us , Always great food and service. It's our go to pub for food. Stopped off here on the way home after a weekend away and had the BEST carvery! Would highly recommend. A slight communication issue over my Dad's steak was quickly and professionally resolved and the staff were very attentive.
