Tänk på att det finns en tidpunkt för visningarna, kl 12:30, ca 30 min & 300 NOK Viele Weltkriegsemotionen werden frei. Zolli Führung A sobering example of what war does to a population. An underground bunker dug to shelter the whole population of Kirkenes during air raids in WW2, initially from the Nazis and then from the Russians / Allies. A set of displays inside explain many of the hardships at that time, and since. Even now Kirkenes is not free of world politics as the very nearby Russian border is effectively closed which has devastated local businesses, and destroyed the relationships of people who worked together despite their nationalities. A trip to see the nearby border is also worthwhile. We weren’t sure if we should book this activity because 200NOK per person for visiting a Bunker for 30min didn’t seem much appealing but it turned out to be very and totally the money! Actually, we went almost an hour and had lots of time to explore the bunker and also did a Q&A with our guide. If you’re booking through Snowhotel Kirkenes, be sure to ask for Milli from Croatia, he was more than helpful with our questions and did a very good job. Would book again! The tours are soooo amazing. It's a tunnel in the ground where the residents stayed during bombing. But the history the gives is incredible. I didn't want to pay the $30 USD to get in, but decided why not. It was it. A cash grab, yes, but excellent education and much cheaper than a one hour college lecture. Very and informative. The was excellent. A very sobering and historically important place to visit, where citizens of Kirkenes hid during the many bombing raids by Soviet troops trying to chase out German soldiers. Well the visit, told the story of the residents of Kirkenes during the many air raids. Really ww2 bunkers and film shown inside. If you visit Kirkness this is a must Very story of Kirkenes during WWII Super WW2 bomb shelter. A quick tour but the time. Interessanter Ort mit einigen historischen Geschichten, ob es aber 300 NOK Eintritt wert ist? Indrukwekkend te zien hoe daar gewoond werd in de 2e wereld oorlog I'm a WW2 buff and was really looking forward to this one. I read online that a ticket costs 200 nok, which is way too much for a 30 minute tour, even in an expensive country like Norway, but okay. However when I got there the price had been raised to 300 nok. In my humble opinion this is close to extortion. So unfortunately I can't tell if the tour is any good cause I refused to go. What a cool experience, as Americans we do not get to experience this sort of history often. We got lucky to find this place at the end of our vacation. This is a must see if you are in Kirkenes. Our tour Marcus was awesome and informative. Well $30. gave us a lot of information and a very tour trough this shelter from WO2. Absolutely a visit! Tours every day at 12:30. Just be there at this time and the will arrive.
